Great experience! I had a great experience at Tom Gill this month! Joey, Marty and the lab coat lady were all incredible when it came to helping me with my auto acciden I had a great experience at Tom Gill this month! Joey, Marty and the lab coat lady were all incredible when it came to helping me with my auto accident and getting my car estimates etc. they had amazing customer service!! Now once we figured out my car would be totaled i went over to the sales floor and met the best guy, Chris Hensley was a great salesman. He made things so easy and let me check out all kinds of vehicles and gave me really good customer service. He wasn’t pushy at all and i am grateful for that. He answered every question i had. I also want to mention Jessica and Greg as well, thanks for being so nice and making the experience fun and less stressful than i thought it would be!! I’ll always recommend Tom Gill. More

Excellent car buying experience I made numerous visits to Tom Gill Chevrolet in order to find the right vehicle for my wife. Every time I was assisted by Chris Hensley and would like I made numerous visits to Tom Gill Chevrolet in order to find the right vehicle for my wife. Every time I was assisted by Chris Hensley and would like to say he was wonderful to work with. We finally purchased our beautiful Impala and Chris made it an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Chris. I will be back soon looking to help my daughter find the right car at the right price. More

I called and spoke with Bill Loftus prior to my going out to Tom Gill Chevrolet. I had never met him before, he was simply the gentleman that answered the phone when I asked to be put through to the Sales Dept. I had been to many other car lots on my recent search and it was the same old jive; one large Ford dealership in Ohio didn't even seem to care if I drove a car I was interested in -- "King's of Nothing" I would say. Pardon me, I digressed from the point of this review... They had a used Ford Edge listed online at a great price and that was the vehicle I was interested in finding. I arrived at Tom Gill Chevrolet and Bill Loftus was busy helping another guest at that point of the day, so another member of their staff, Chris Hensley, filled in for him in regards to assisting me with questions that I had about some of the new and used vehicles that they had on their lot. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helped me see what I wanted to see and did not try to direct me in other directions. Never once was I badgered about what I could afford in payments and all the other normal B.S. sales talk that you run into at other dealerships where they are sizing you up. The only thing that was made clear to me up front, by Chris and others, is that they do not work on commission and that they are there to assist in helping me get answers needed with any vehicles I was interested in. Throughout the entire process, no one in the Tom Gill organization switched gears on that business paradigm. I did not purchase an auto that Saturday afternoon, as I wanted to go home and think about all that I had seen and test drove that day (including other cars that were attractive to me), considering my options, wants and needs. I already knew what I could and could not afford spending before even starting my car shopping experience a week prior. I went back the following day (a Sunday afternoon... which I highly recommend). At that time, Bill Loftus was available. I actually called before heading out to see him, telling Bill what I had test-driven the day before with Chris Hensley's assistance. I told him which vehicle I was interested in and he was happy to hear that I had found something that I liked. When I arrived, Bill had already had the car pulled inside a showroom garage (it was dreadfully hot & humid out that day). This made it a really comfortable way for me to really go over the vehicle and check everything out on it from bumper-to-bumper, including the interior cabin. The car I had chosen was not a Chevrolet, though they do have some great choices in that line. I have always been a Ford man, and they had the perfect Ford Edge SEL AWD V6 for me. A couple years old, but an extremely clean, one-owner, and very low miles vehicle. Just what I was looking for. The day prior, the vehicle I was interested in trading-in was appraised while I was being assisted by Chris Hensley. The appraisal was done at my request, not at theirs. Zero Pressure. Before leaving for the afternoon, the Sales Manager (Greg), came over to present me with an offer on my used vehicle, which was extremely fair. Greg was another man that had spoken with me a couple times while I was waiting for Bill on my first visit the day before. Greg is an extremely nice man and it was obvious he just wanted to be sure I was finding what I was looking for and nothing more -- a true gentleman. He even expressed his concern for my fiance and I walking around on the lot in the heat and asked if he could get us a drink. Find that taking place at most other dealerships... I challenge you! That same hospitality never ended throughout my experience. To wrap this up, on my visit Sunday, I told Bill Loftus and Greg that the car had everything I wanted, except for leather seats. They removed that problem by showing how I could have them redo the seats in leather at a "fraction" of the cost of buying an upgraded version of the vehicle which would have cost me about $10,000 more -- all new leather upholstery for me... $1599! Let me break that down... for just about $20 more a month, I upgraded to having a "new" leather interior! If I went with a model upgrade at Ford, that would have cost me roughly $166 more per month, with not much else appreciable being offered on the upgraded model. I know, I checked it all out. They even offered me a loaner vehicle for the day that job will be done! I received a better price on my selected vehicle than I could find at any other dealership. I got better service and care than I would have gotten at any other dealership I visited, all with 100% zero pressure. Buying a car should be a relaxing process, not a stressful event. Tom Gill, Bill Loftus, Greg, and Chris Hensley (and I can't forget the finance and appraising folks), ensured it was exactly that, a stress-free, relaxing process. No, I am not being paid to write this. Did they make money? Yes. If they weren't making money they wouldn't be in business to help me the next time I come to them. It's called Capitalism. I use to sell cars back in the 80's at a major dealership,, it was like the wild west back then and many of the same tactics are still being used by many dealerships (with a little more gov't intervention these days). I know my way around this business, in addition to knowing B.S. when I hear it -- every place else I went shopping was full of it. I took the time to write this because before doing so, I read other reviews at Yelp and some other like websites. Remember folks, most people don't take time to write reviews over good experiences, just the bad ones, and a lot of the time, those reviews have more holes in them than Swiss cheese. Fact: I'm tighter than paint on a wall with my money and I feel I was given a very fair deal on a vehicle that I am extremely pleased with. Tom Gill and his staff are approaching automotive sales and customer service in the way that it should. Congrats to the Tom Gill team, Bill, Chris, Bill, and all the others, you won me over by providing me with a relaxing, helpful, arms-length transaction! Cheers! -- Doug W. 07/15/2018 More
