Koons Clarksville Chevrolet Buick GMC responded

We follow the guidelines set forth by General Motors. With this particular recall, GM only covers it while it is under factory warranty. We can still complete the recall, but since it is outside of the warranty, you would be responsible to pay for the recall repair. This is not a Koons policy but is instead a General Motors policy that we have no control over. We will be happy to do everything we can to assist. Please call me to discuss. Before writing this response I attempted to reach the Service Manager Mr. Keith Williams (I’m on hold while writing this response). Your people called me concerning the recall. No one asked what the mileage was or stated that the recall repair had to be under warranty. Your dealership is over an hour drive for me, but previously as Winn/Kelly, I had received great service. So when arrived and my car was checked in about 15 minutes later I was called an told the recall was only a warranty covered recall. At that time I was ticked off. So I left at that time. Then you send me a survey request. In the time that have been writing this response I was on hold for 8 minutes calling Mr. Keith Williams, the Service Manager (he left his number to call concerning this matter) before finishing this response. I was transferred to Koons Toyota. I called back and was told the Service Department was closed. Sorry, I have previously brought 2 GMC’s (2014 and 2018) from you as Winn/Kelly (both were new Denali’s so they weren’t low cost vehicles). Koons Clarksburg just lost my business.
