I was only there to have my car serviced when I ran into Chris Simmons. I explained a few things I was looking for in a new vehicle and he instantly knew which vehicles to show me. He was extremely informative and honest. When I wasn't entirely sold on making a new purchase, Chris understood completely and did not push the situation. Regardless, he was more than willing to show me the new 2015 CR-V even though I still had no intentions on making a purchase that day. Chris's extensive knowledge on the CR-V allowed him to point out the key features and specs of the vehicle while letting the CR-V sell itself. I felt as though I was looking at the vehicle with a friend rather than a salesman. His personality combined with his phenomenal customer service skills undoubtedly made a huge impact on my experience at Harrisonburg Honda. My family has been loyal to another car manufacture for over 30 years and after this ride we knew that the CRV was going to be our decision. Other Dealers Said No, They Said No Problem After being told by other dealerships that it was "impossible" to take out a car loan while having no credit, I was directed to Harrisonburg Honda by After being told by other dealerships that it was "impossible" to take out a car loan while having no credit, I was directed to Harrisonburg Honda by a family member who had a very positive car-buying experience there a few months earlier. I was skeptical, but decided to swing by anyways. I'm 27, and have never had a credit card or taken out a loan before. My credit score was 0. But they looked at my income, work history, and they worked with me. They asked what I could afford to pay per month, made copies of my driver's license and pay stubs, and set out to find a loan for me. I think it took all of 10 minutes for them to come back with an approval, and a monthly payment plan that was right within the range I had asked for. The car was EXTREMELY clean (it was a used 2010) inside and out, and they also gave me a full tank of gas and two extra keys before sending me on my way with my new car. It's also worth mentioning that they let me keep my old car in their parking lot until I could come back with a friend and get it a few days later. I couldn't muster up a single complaint about the experience even if I tried. Everyone was friendly, and eager to help out in any way possible. Big thanks to Tyler, Chris, and Matt. I'm loving my Camaro SS! More
