That was easy. We were shopping for a new Mazda CX-5 (I've never driven a Mazda before) and chose Alan Webb Mazda for a test drive because it was the closest dealer We were shopping for a new Mazda CX-5 (I've never driven a Mazda before) and chose Alan Webb Mazda for a test drive because it was the closest dealer to where we live. I wasn't looking forward to it, because my past experience with new car dealers has been less than positive: I always felt I had to be on my guard. Chris Smith was a pleasure to work with: he was helpful and low key, and not in the least pushy. He offered a good price for our trade-in and a good price on the CX-5. He made our experience positive, and we bought a car from him. Then, he helped us move stuff from our old car, in the pouring rain. My wife and I are very pleased with Chris and with Alan Webb Mazda. More

Friendly, courteous and listen to customers Our family recently leased two new cars from Alan Webb in Vancouver. After my son leased his Mazda3 from them the first part of July, the experience was so positive that my husband and I went back a few days later and leased our own Mazda3! Our rating is 5 stars because every person we dealt with was friendly, courteous, and straightforward. Nobody was pushy. For a car-buying experience, it was remarkably low stress. Our first point of contact was Manny. Online and over the phone he gave us excellent service. He listened to what we wanted and got back with us quickly, always being friendly and courteous. He found us the car we wanted and had it waiting for us to test drive when we arrived. The price he quoted us was the price we paid. Our salesman, Chris, was an absolute delight to deal with. He is genuine, personable, and goes out of his way to help in any way he can. He is young and new to the job but very knowledgeable. Even though it was late in the day, he took the time to answer our questions and help us get familiar with the features of our new car. He did not go home until we were all set and ready to leave. Next, we met Garret, Chris’ manager. He really listened to us and what our needs were regarding the financial aspects of the transaction. It was nice to be “heard.” He was willing to work with us and seemed very motivated to make his customers happy. The result is that we are happy with the deal we made and have good feelings about the whole process. I don’t remember the name of the person in finance who led us through the document-signing process, but he was courteous as well. He offered us the extra warranty but when we declined did not push us further and was friendly about it. Our brief encounters with Megan in the service department and Colin in parts were very positive also. Since leasing our car a week ago, we have received follow-up calls from both Chris and Garret, thanking us for our business and offering to help with any questions that may come up. The people at Alan Webb listened to what we wanted and then focused on how best to make that happen. We would definitely go back to buy or lease another car from them, and we happily recommend them to others. More

Sales Games Let the games begin. What a frustrating experience. It started well enough by searching in the usual ways as well as creating a search via TrueCar w Let the games begin. What a frustrating experience. It started well enough by searching in the usual ways as well as creating a search via TrueCar which generated quotes from various dealers, including Alan Webb. The online sales rep was responsive and worked to get us a very competitive quote on the car we wanted. It was when we went back to the dealership to start the purchase paperwork that things took a turn for the worse. Same old car dealership games. First the sale price was wrong - sales person runs 50 feet to the sales manager's office and returns a minute later with new paperwork reflecting the correct price previously discussed on the phone multiple times while making the appointment. Repeat the same process for an extended warranty we never asked for they tried to sell as part of what we had to include (extra $3500). Repeat the process for "brake surge" for $395 sold as a factory installed option (complete lie as it is something a dealership adds). The sales manager never came out of his office and the sales person was completely out of his depth trying to explain why we had to accept nearly $4000 in added cost for things we didn't want. Nearly walked out. Financing went smooth and quick, as it always has with any car purchase I have made. I will not take my car to Alan Webb Mazda for any service or buy from them again. More
