My overall buying experience with Vann York Honda was excellent. I bought the car I wanted at a fair price. Vann York Honda found my desired car at another dealer and sent somebody to pick it up. I was driving my new car within two days. A very satisfactory experience. First contact was with Shelton Staten because my assigned rep was off when I visited dealership. He explained each step in the process of pricing and his genial manner convinced me I was at the right dealership for me. I did not feel like I was being railroaded or fed a line of bs. Though I was still uncertain I was getting the "best deal", something about him made me feel I could trust Vann York. My questions were all thoroughly answered. Chris followed up with me the next day and handled my additional questions very efficiently and was able to locate and meet my request for a specific vehicle and within the time frame promised. Ray Moriarty finalized the Internet/ phone part of the deal. When my car arrived, Don Penetta managed the details of the purchase and informed me on each step of the financial portion of the deal as well as setting me up with the car and showing me its functions, making sure I understood before I drove away. I was anxious because purchasing a new car was such a major decision, and he made it so simple that I couldn't believe I was so nervous to make the big decision to make the switch from my longtime relationship with Toyota. Each of the salesmen were polite and very welcoming making me certain Vann York Honda was the dealership to be entrusted with my new car decision and the reason why I chose to rate them all so highly. He is not one of those "high pressure" salesman that people dread when they walk into a dealership. He listens to your needs and wants, is very knowledgeable about the products, and works with you to get the best deal available. Once the vehicle is delivered, he spends whatever time it takes to explain the different features on the car, making sure you understand them before leaving. He follows up afterwards to make sure you are happy with the vehicle and to see if you have any questions or issues. I would highly recommend working with Jim when you visit Vann York Honda for your new car needs. The rest of the Vann York team is also very easy to work with. Their service department is top notch, reliable and dependable. You never have to worry about them performing a service that is not needed and then charging you for it.
