I bought a Civic in October. When I go to turn the AC on for the first time in May- it didn't work. Took it to the dealership and they told me to pound sand because it was out of warranty. Y1234 refriger for the first time in May- it didn't work. Took it to the dealership and they told me to pound sand because it was out of warranty. Y1234 refrigerant is about 700 dollars for a 10 lb jug and the special tools requires to service it yourself run about $380. Seeing as how none of the 22 dealerships I called service 1234 yet, and due to the lack of funds- I spent the entire summer driving 4 hours a day with no AC. After the class action lawsuit currently underway kicked up- Honda sent out a recall...A month ago. I get the AC fixed and ask for a simple apology for the pain in the xxx this has been- and they can't even get the gull to call me and do so. More
