Great experience - nice and attentive Let me start by saying I will purchase a car from anywhere if they are great on service and price. I've even crossed state lines to do so. I always start locally of course, but I will branch out if either of the above are lacking. I was ecstatic to find that Palmen Racine - which is literally up the road from me - came through right from the start on both of the above. I started my car buying journey by doing a ton of research online. I knew roughly what couple of vehicles I was interested in before doing any test drives. Once I was ready to talk numbers and get an idea of costs, I reached out to Tonya - their internet manager at Palmen Racine. Tonya was great and we chatted on and off for a few days while I sorted through a busy work schedule. Eventually - she set up a time for me to come in on a test drive of the Jeep Renegade. She was super accommodating on this - offering me the option to come in at any time or even having somebody drop the test drive off at my house! Anyway, once I got an open slot in my schedule, I was able to come in myself. This is where I met Matt. Matt was great, he took me out on my first spin late at night. Matt answered most any question I had. A day or so later, I needed to get a quote on my trade, so Tonya had me come in again and she again let me take the car for a solo spin while I waited. Eventually, when it came time to buy, I was connected with Clay and Jerad. Clay is the main sales manager and I had a couple quick chat with him. But Jerad was my primary contact and he set everything up for me. And he was great. The Renegade I decided on was literally just in off a truck - and it turned out it had a small dent in one of the doors. Jerad had that taken care of no problem before I took delivery. Then after a few days, I noted that the Jeep had a small smudge on the drive side - which turned out to be a scratch. Well, Jerad was there again for me and he personally fixed up my car himself so that it looked tip top. Meanwhile, Clay had a temp car ready for me to go early that morning so I didn't need to miss work while Jerad touched up the small imperfection. Of course later that same day, I got the car back in mint condition. Great job by Jerad on the work and by both he an Clay on the service. I'd just like to finish by saying that everyone was great to work with, never had any pressure at all to "buy now" and they made sure to keep in touch with me to make sure I was happy numerous times along the way. They've definitely earned my business now and in the future. Now for the ONE negative- I wish their waiting area offered more than bad coffee. Nearly every other dealership I'd been too offered a nice complimentary selection of water, soda, cookies, fruits, etc. while you wait for service. It may seem like a small thing, but it was noticeable that most of their competition was a step above in this regard. Hopefully they can upgrade that in the near future. If not for that, my experience would have been absolutely perfect. More

Jerad and Clay are the best! I was at the end of my rope when I ended at Palmen. I had zero faith I was going to feel good about my car purchase and was convinced I was going to I was at the end of my rope when I ended at Palmen. I had zero faith I was going to feel good about my car purchase and was convinced I was going to get taken advantage of. My husband and I have a 16 month old and didn't have the time to go shopping together. What resulted was me running around to numerous places trying to get quotes on both new leases and used vehicles, lost about what our best move was. Both Cole and Jerad took so much time with me and provided top notch customer service. They had well thought out, educated responses to all of my questions and concerns and they understood good customer service was providing me options reasonable for my family and I; They never tried to just "sell me." My husband and I live 45 minutes away... As long as we are in the market for any vehicle they sell, they will be our sole source for our vehicle needs. Also the finance manager Steve was wonderful. I briefly had to bring my son by the next day for some follow up (on my part, not due to any shortcomings on their part) and my son proceeded to drop a 1/2 bag of pb crackers all over his office and then step in them. I was mortified and he made us feel at home- Palmen has a special thing going there! More

Lowest Price / lowest respect I inquired about a vehicle and was told Palmen would probably be cheapest. They were. Here are some other things they were - pushy. I inquired about cars. He showed me them and said time and again, they wont take your offer, its too low, even though it was above my budget and he knew it. They took the offer and then when I said whoa, not what I had in mind, he got angry, told me I was never gonna see a better offer and stormed off, cigarette in hand. I left. Even though I feel as though I am rewarding bad behavior I still bought a from them because of price. Today i bought a nice vehicle there, and in the process of dealing with the business manager, was asked to fill out a paper that clearly said only sign if completely filled out. It was not, when I asked about it, the bus manager said "dude, what do you care, it doesnt even matter" what? This is shady. While the replacement salesman today was pleasent as could be, helpful and polite, I would suggest dealing with Palmen only if you have thick skin, and can take your car purchasing with a side of rudeness. More

It started out good... THEN.. Originally I was looking at the 2015 Durango, I was doing most of the leg work online via email. Negotiated the trade value of my Ram, got the financing in place. Then I went to the dealership to look at the Durango, and decided it was not roomy enough. So to save face, and to try and show my appreciation for all the work that was already done, I just decided to go into a new Ram. They did not have the one I wanted in stock, so I gave a $500 good faith deposit and did a dealer search myself online and found one in Michigan. So they went to Michigan to get it for me. In the mean time, I was communicating with the salesman on the incentives that I wanted and were offered, which was 0% for 72 months. He said that was not an issue and everything was set. So a few days later, I went to pick up the truck at the dealership, got into the finance office and was told the rate would be 1.9% for 72 months, which does not sound like a lot, but it adds over $3000 to the overall price of the truck! I got mad and left. Had they told me the rate was going to be 1.9% in the beginning, that would have been one thing, but to lead me on until I got to the dealership to find out that the rate was actually 1.9% and not 0% like I was told, that's a different story. After a few days of negotiations, they offered to add another $500 to my trade, but it still cost me $2500 more than I originally was planning on spending. I ended up leasing the truck at the end. I am a business owner and honesty is always the best when it comes to dealing with customers, and its a shame that most if the car dealerships in this country have to appear to be misleading. So it was my first purchase at this dealership, and probably my last. If they would have made good on the entire thing, it would have been a 5 star rating and a very positive review. More

I finally couldn't put it off any longer so I visited Palmen in Racine. Chuck Schovain and Clay Evans made the process absolutely seamless. As a woman who admittedly knows very little about purchasing a vehicle, I had a million questions that they patiently and thoroughly answer for me. For anyone who is nervous about making a purchase, I highly recommend Chuck, Clay and Palmen in Racine to assist you through this the process. I have nothing but positive things to say about their service and I love my new Jeep! More
