I brought my car in with an error code, the first mechanic said my head/head gasket was bad allowing for antifreeze to get into to 2 cylinders, however we I asked if a pressure test was completed, he mechanic said my head/head gasket was bad allowing for antifreeze to get into to 2 cylinders, however we I asked if a pressure test was completed, he said yes and it held pressure. When I asked what the cost was to fix it, I was told I needed a new engine. At that point I asked to speak to the service manager, and he wasn’t available. So I asked for him to call me, however he never called me. So the next afternoon after no call from the service manager I called back in and was told that my car was ready. I asked I thought the head needed replaced and was told no they flushed the engine and the light cleared. When I went to pick up my car and after paying for it. I moved the car over to the loaner and by the time I got there the light came back on. I went back into the service desk and they had the mechanic come out to talk with me. When I asked about the repair and did they check the timing, because it was out of time when I brought it in, he said no that it wasn’t necessary because if they checked it they would tell me I needed a new engine. Totally absurd response and I asked for someone else to look at my car. The following week, I was called and told they figured out what was wrong with it. The water pump was bad and there a bunch of antifreeze in the oil. However, when the first mechanic went through the engine, I asked if there was water in the oil and he said no. Again, when I asked about changing out the water pump I was told the engine needed replaced because it would easier and cheaper to find an used engine. Unfortunately, at this point I had zero confidence in your shop’s ability to do the repair or to truly identify the problem so I picked up my car and took it another shop and they changed out the water pump and replaced the timing chain for nearly a fourth of the price I was told to buy the new engine ($11.5k). Btw... I still have never received a call from the service manager whom I asked to speak to multiple occasions. Here is my number if he would like to discuss why I was dissatisfied and took my business else where. More

Machens Mitsubishi got me in on the day I wanted, corrected my alignment and made me a deal on a set of tires. Machens Mazda has always been where I take my car. The service staff are friendly and keep me informed of the service progress. They couldn't figure out what the problem was but assured me I could bring service staff are friendly and keep me informed of the service progress. Service was ok although I never received a courtesy vehicle seeing as my car was at the shop 5 days.
