Updated to 3 stars: Despite a stressful and discouraging experience, Cory did reach out to us after we posted this review. While it would have been nice to have this conversation when we first returned with experience, Cory did reach out to us after we posted this review. While it would have been nice to have this conversation when we first returned with the issues, he apologized and acknowledged that mistakes were made. We appreciated that attempts were made to hear us out as this was what we wanted in the first place. He did his best to give us something and though it wasn't a perfect fix, we appreciated the effort. I am still not sure if I would recommend buying a car here as the experience was quite stressful. However, if they do improve training and address some of the issues as they promised, there is potential for a more positive buying experience. Thank you Cory for demonstrating that you do care about the situation and that the experience we had is not how you are trying to run this business. This dealership is deceitful, misleading, and holds themselves to an incredibly low standard. They did not disclose open recalls to us and lied about one of them being resolved. They claim their pre-certified cars go through a comprehensive 139 point inspection and yet we found something broken on the car immediately upon purchase. One can only wonder what bigger issues are being covered up when buying one of these certified cars. It clearly means absolutely nothing. Beware when looking at a description sheet provided by the salesperson as they are inaccurate and the salesperson likely has no idea what features the car does and doesn't have. This dealership will lose no sleep over putting your family at risk (because of undisclosed open recalls and likely because of preexisting conditions they are not being transparent about). They make no effort to make things right or apologize for making mistakes. In fact Cory Skeen was too busy and refused to speak with us when we came in to address these numerous issues and seek a resolution. We simply had to take whatever pathetic excuse for resolution they offered and were given no apology. This simply means they could care less about the customer, their reputation, and human decency. Please beware when visiting this dealership. It's reprehensible that their website claims they hold family values, care about the customer, and seek to provide a professional experience. Shopping there will likely result in the exact opposite. Whatever stereotypical assumption comes to mind when you think of car sales - it is 100% true when it comes to Corwin Ford. There is no end to the negative things I can say about this establishment and they should be embarrassed by their service to the Reno community. In addition, Ford should be embarrassed that they are representing their namesake in such a deplorable manner. If Cory Skeen decides he would like to make things right and salvage whatever shred of respect he might have left, he is more than welcome to reach out to me and explain why he is managing this dealership in such an unethical manner. After 3 weeks of "inspections and warranty work", I was told it was 100% good to go and made the 7 hr drive to pick it up. I trusted them. On the way home, the truck pulls to the right so badly that its scary. Took it to Les Schwab 2 days later for an alignment a manager said they'd pay for and it turned out to be the tie rods etc...estimate is $867. Sadly, dealerships here can't get me in until August. 3 days after purchase, the truck wouldn't start. Panic set in, knowing the dealership had already fumbled the worn out suspension that Les Schwab said were very obvious. Thankfully, it turned out to just be a cracked 6 year old battery My confidence in this dealership is gone. Management didn't call back as promised. In fact, Corwin hung up on us while I stood there with my Ford dealership trying to find out why my truck wouldn't start. I'm paying for a full inspection because the transmission is also shifty and will have another dealership resolve the issues that Corwin passed along instead of doing their job. Whether it was service techs glossing over problems or sales management declining repairs to make a profitable sale or something else, this dealership failed to provide a road worthy vehicle. I'm now in a race to have repairs done before their 3 montth warranty is up. More

Absolute Nightmare Experience – Avoid Corwin Auto at All Costs On March 5th, I was told my financing was approved by Corwin Auto. I trusted that, signed paperwork, and drove away in what I thought was my Costs On March 5th, I was told my financing was approved by Corwin Auto. I trusted that, signed paperwork, and drove away in what I thought was my new truck. Just two days later, the check engine light came on. Took 2 weeks to get into shop. I was expected to pay for the diagnosis, the $80.00 part, $1000.00 in labor, and two weeks with no vehicle( now 4 weeks no vehicle). Got the truck back, (in the meantime registered and insured it per the 30 day requirement) Had the truck two weeks and check engine light back on. Now expected to pay 4500.00 I refuse. The manager will not return my calls. Come to find out after signing two different financing packets and being assured I was financed and sending in multiple financial statements and jumping through hoops, I’m still not financed — and now the truck is sitting in the shop. They’re refusing to take responsibility, and I’m stuck with a broken vehicle, no financing, and serious damage to my credit from multiple hard inquiries. There has been zero follow-up, no communication, and absolutely no accountability. They talk about customer satisfaction, but my experience was nothing but deception and frustration. I've been without a vehicle for 42 days. My income depends on having a dependable vehicle. I have had to turn jobs away. This has been the worst experience Don’t be fooled by the fake 5-star reviews — if you want a reliable vehicle or an honest sales team, service team, this is NOT the place. More

Deceptive sales practices, predatory financing, ineffective repairs, non-callbacks, lack of communication, and poor customer service have caused me significant financial and personal hardship. Bought a used car here. The next day an obviously pre existing condition came to light. A Check engine light. Took it back to the dealership and they offered me $5000 less than I paid two days earlier. I put less than 50 miles on the car when this happened. These people are scoundrels and thieves. Don’t trust them on anything! More

This place is nothing but bunch of liars trying to rip of customers. If you are looking to shop online this is definitely not a place. They will claim they will complete car buying process and ship car on ti customers. If you are looking to shop online this is definitely not a place. They will claim they will complete car buying process and ship car on time ( shipping with buyer expense) within short time but that is not going to happen. Started car buying process on Jun 12,2024 with deposit and completed purchase paperwork on June 17. It is June 29, 2024 and I am still waiting on the car , which should not take more than day or two to get to my location from the dealership. If you look to shop in person, you might want to look for other options because, they claim they have competitive interest rates which is big lie and they do not accept third party financing. They do not tell you these things up front. More

I cannot say enough good things about Travis! I saw a car online, called Corwin Ford, and told Travis I would be down for a test drive. He made sure that it was a smooth and easy process even though I only gave him a 20minutes heads up! This having been my first experience with a dealership, I came into this very hesitant and nervous mild set , but Travis made the whole interaction reassuring, and genuinely cared about my wants and needs from a car. After deciding to purchase the car, he made sure all the paper work went smoothly, and even made sure to check in with me the week after my purchase to make sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. Safe to say, he was professional, helpful, and communicating with him felt like talking to a good friend. If you are looking for a car, I will forever and always recommend Travis!! You will not regret it! More
