Salesperson Helton Great - Service Terrible -change tires I bought the car from salesperson Helton accepting the sticker price with the VW posted discount. I also agreed to the trade-in value of my old GTI. I bought the car from salesperson Helton accepting the sticker price with the VW posted discount. I also agreed to the trade-in value of my old GTI. My only demand was swapping out my summer tires to install on the new GTI. The Service department didn't have time the day of the purchase so someone from Service was supposed to call within two days which they did not. I called and scheduled an 830am appt on 7/23. I arrived at 805am and was told it would be two maybe three hours which is ridiculous. I realize these are low profile tires but this should take one hour being careful not to scratch the wheels. I received a call about 130pm advising my car should be ready by 2pm at the latest 3pm. I arrived at 3p (6.5 hours after my appt) and the tires had not been swapped. I was told ten more minutes which took 20 more minutes. There was tire paste over all four wheels and tires. There was tire paste on the left fender. I realized the front left wheel had two chips after removing the paste. I spent 20 minutes using tar remover to get most of the paste off the wheels but tires will have to wear off. I spent another 45 minutes driving home in rush hour traffic which I wanted to avoid by scheduling early. The finance guy was friendly but claimed he did not know the money factor on the proposed lease. I opted to buy the vehicle given the poor leasing terms despite only traveling 7500 miles per year. Also, one of the other salespeople (Doug) sent his lease buyer ahead of me despite me being their 20 minutes earlier so she could lease an Atlas. The salesperson and finance guy (Craig) knew exactly what they did. I told Helton about this nonsense. I just waited twenty minutes then this woman takes another 45 minutes asking many questions. Craig apologized for the delay. I bought the 2019 VW GTI Rabbit Limited Edition because there are none around that are cornflower blue with a 6 spd manual. The car sold itself. I will follow Helton to whatever dealership he is at but have zero loyalty to Westside and will bring my vehicle elsewhere for better service (timely, clean and professional like Inver Grove VW). I rated two stars only because of Helton otherwise it would be a zero. The young lady behind the service counter was very sweet and helpful. Teh young guy next to her enver looked up from his monitor despite me waiting directly in front of him for 15 seconds. She noticed and came over to help. You do not have a service culture at this dealership. More

Your People Are the Difference Make no mistake, I was still a little skeptical. I was looking to make my purchase/lease somewhere else. I just needed a little more information. Once I stepped in and Maura introduced herself, she was so warm and welcoming. She asked what I needed, then what I wanted. Maura truly listened (to me) and really heard what I was telling her. Many of the sales people I have met in the past are just pushing me to their favorite of the one that they like to see move off the lot. None of that here. Maura made sure that she stayed in contact, letting me know each time that she was there to answer questions and make me feel comfortable with my decisions to buy or not and not to dictate choices to me. She assisted over the phone and in person. She didn't brush me off when I needed some time to discuss the purchase with my family. She made sure to express her own experience and valuable, detailed knowledge of the systems in the vehicle. Maura even scheduled a late day last minute test drive to help me really connect with my choice, one that I think I may have already made. In the end, I chose VW again. She walked me through it all, every step of the way and I am grateful for her professionalism and candor. It was an excellent all around experience! More
