He talked me through the process slowly and met me at my level. I also appreciated that he mainly spoke to me rather than my dad who I brought as backup. Purchasing a car as a woman can bring condescending attitudes from men but Shalay was patient, well informed, respectful, and kind throughout this process. Racist. Went with a friend to buy a car. Salesperson brought in Mr. Epp. We said we'd arrange the money and my friend would be back in a couple hours with Went with a friend to buy a car. Salesperson brought in Mr. Epp. We said we'd arrange the money and my friend would be back in a couple hours with his checkbook. Perfectly fine with the old white guy there. When my friend returned by himself, they wouldn't accept his check. My friend returned the next day with a cashiers check and somehow they hadn't managed to get the title signed over and the person who signs off had "gone home" for the day. I had to return a third time and and harass them them to finally get the title handed over. More
