After narrowing my choices down to two vehicles and consulting with finance managers (who talked a bit too fast for me) I purchased a vehicle. Trading in my 2017 Nissan Murano (which I was emotionally attached to) for a 2019 Lexus ES 350 was a big change and I had serious “buyers remorse” immediately after. Daniel took the time to let me drive more SUV’s so I could feel certain that I had made the right choice. I have not had a very good experience with Jenkins Nissan in Leesburg recently. My wife and I stopped to look at a new or low mileage/ late model suv, like a highlander / 4 runner / Sorento. looke Nissan in Leesburg recently. My wife and I stopped to look at a new or low mileage/ late model suv, like a highlander / 4 runner / Sorento. looked at 2022 Murano w/ very low miles that our salesperson Daniel arranged for us to take it overnight. Ok , thought that was good right ? We really liked the Murano, but it only it only has a tow rating of 1500 lbs Anyways , one of the first thing Daniel says to us as we started to look at used vehicles was that every used car they sell under a certain age and under certain milage comes with a lifetime unlimited miles drivetrain warranty that’s good at any certified auto repair shop ( as in it’s backed my a third party , not just the dealership itself ) I’ll get back to this later! wife dropped the Murano off next day and he shows her a 2020 pathfinder that’s got a factory Reese hitch and a 7 way plug w/ tow cap of 5k lbs 16k miles .. he says to her they are asking around $31k for it, we already disclosed what figured our max budget was (right around $35k) she tells him that I’ll come look at it the next day .. I did a quick search to see what they go for before I head there Well , I found the extract one I’m suppose to look at .. all I had to do was confirm it was the same one by checking that the vin matched with the one on the ad. It did ! before I tell Daniel that I found it online for $28,999.. I ask to take it for a test drive .. which after waiting for almost 45 mins , he finally sent another newer sales person to help me, even though I had a appointment and texted him 3 times to confirm I was on my way I understand people get busy .. but he could have handed me off much sooner, not 45 mins later! he knew I was there to test drive that suv ..I asked the new guy to confirm the asking price before he even put the plate on it . He didn’t confirm the around $31k price that Daniel told my wife ..he didn’t ! We went on the test drive, , I knew right away that suv was not going to work for us as I required it to have the 360° back up camera and GPS or Apple \ android car play so we can just tether our phones gps to it ....I still drove it so that I knew how the pathfinder handles in case we found one with the options I required ..and now I was getting suspicious about the sales technique when I couldn’t get a answer on the asking price yet I was asked multiple times if I was going to purchase it. I replied ..well, what’s the asking price ? Then Daniel comes around and asks if I’m ready to buy again. I ask him the price , he replies .. absolutely.. and scurries off to the closed office w/ sales manger Jason ( I think is his name ) and the new guy ..after almost 20 mins Jason comes out and asks if I’m ready to buy ..I repeat, how much !! He replies , no problem we’ll get that for you at which time I just get up and leave , as I’m heading out the door Daniel stops me with the sales price finally .. what to guess how much ? Not the $29k online price .. nope ! Try $32k .. $4k over the online price and that free lifetime warranty , nope not free , try $3k plus the dealer charges tired into the title charges so people don’t get they are charging destination charges in a used vehicle they took on trade ..and reconditioning charge …all said , that $29k price online turned into almost $42k out the door !! What a rip off !! I buy a new or slightly used car for my wife every 2-3 yrs as she racks up milage .. Im not sure if they seen me drive up in a $70k truck and figured they could pull one over on me.. Daniela excuse .. well that’s the price the computer gave me .. you mean the same computer that has it listed for $28,999 ? Now because they have my wife’s number , she’s getting texts and voice mails 2-3 times a day asking when she’s coming back to buy a vehicle !! Beware .. this place is a scam!! More
