Not impressed with the work from the maintenance technician servicing my vehicle. I brought my Nissan Frontier in to have an oil change and tire rotation with the multipoint inspection. After m technician servicing my vehicle. I brought my Nissan Frontier in to have an oil change and tire rotation with the multipoint inspection. After my car was released to me and before driving out of the Nissan customer bay, I did a quick under hood inspection to double check that all was in order in the engine compartment. Well! To my shock! The Air cleaner Air box was not secured and closed up properly. You could see the filter element exposed just standing in front of the car. I reported this immediately to the Service Advisor who called out a technician to investigate. Another second issue was exposed while a technician was correcting and securing the Air Box correctly. That issue was that a large O-Ring seal was found lying lose on top of the engine Valve Cover. After some investigating the technician working the Air Box issue found that the O-Ring Seal was from the Oil filler cap and did not get installed . Very sloppy work to say the least. The Air cleaner fiasco could have ruined my engine by allowing dirty air to be sucked into the motor had I not discovered the unsecured Air Box. Your dealership would have been liable for a new engine! More
