Terrible service, 5 weeks to service my vehicle for

“alleged contaminated fuel” expensive repair, awful experience definitely will never comeback. This dealership they will never get my money again. Service advisor shows me two qtips that look yellow and says fuel was contaminated, those qtips look like the mechanic cleaned his ears with them and inserted into a small plastic bag. Couldnt get a loaner because the issue was caused due to “bad fuel” (outside source) the dealership could not justify lending me a car until repair work was done. When you call to get an update it is very difficult to get in touch with the advisor, forget about talking to the service manager they don’t answer their phone.Everytime i was updated it was followed by an excuse(car was brought in without an appointment, 25 cars ahead of yours, tech specialist is out, part shipped from mexico to California, then back ordered, followed by in Michigan for 5 days. Received the car smelling like fuel, Service advisor blamed it on bad fuel, i cleaned the car myself and noticed the carpet smelled like fuel, which means the “tech” had stepped on fuel and decided to dry his boots inside of my car. Dealership is a total joke If i could rate 0 stars i would. Only reason i didnt take my car out was because i was always told it should be ready in a few days. Stay away from Rockland Chrysler, they should be investigated for deceiving and stealing from customers!!!

We value transparency and would like to take a minute to address the claims in your review. Your vehicle was towed to our service department without an appointment. Our service advisor contacted you on August 28, 2024, to discuss the intake process. During this time, it was noted that your vehicle was emitting heavy white smoke and was unable to start. It was also documented that you had filled your vehicle with fuel the day before towing it in. The diagnostic testing performed determined that the fuel was contaminated. The service advisor provided a detailed estimate for these repairs. The test tips used for fuel testing are not standard over-the-counter items and you did take pictures of the strips. To access the dual fuel tanks in your vehicle it requires removing the rear seat. Our technicians adhere to professional standards. We maintain a commitment to ethical practices and transparency in all our dealings and take pride in our commitment to quality service. We wish you well in servicing your vehicle at another service center.

I had an incredibly disappointing and alarming experience
with the service department at Rockland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, especially with the Service Manager.
In March 2022, I brought my daughter's 2020
with the service department at Rockland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, especially with the Service Manager.
In March 2022, I brought my daughter's 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in for a routine oil change and to address the Y10 Safety Recall (Fuel Supply Line). The invoice claimed the recall had been completed. Fast forward to July 2024, my trusted mechanic discovered a fuel line leak, and the tag on the line clearly showed it was part of the recall—meaning the critical recall work had never been properly done.
When I returned to Rockland Jeep with this dangerous discovery, they refused to accept any responsibility, even questioning the authenticity of the tag, and demanded $317.01 just to inspect the issue. Even after Jeep corporate got involved, the service department stalled for weeks, leaving my car sitting untouched for over five weeks. After finally voicing my frustration, they abruptly returned the car to me—with the fuel line still leaking—and told me to take it elsewhere. My daughter, who needed the car for her first job after college, was left stranded for weeks, while I was handed back a vehicle with a fuel leak that could have easily led to a fire or worse.
In desperation, I took the car to another Jeep dealership in Long Island, NY. Within a week, they completed the recall correctly and even identified a paint issue still under warranty. The contrast in service was shocking. Rockland Jeep’s complete lack of accountability, their reckless disregard for safety, and their refusal to properly handle a life-threatening recall is beyond unacceptable.

We would like to clarify a few key points regarding your experience with us. You visited our service department in March 2022 for Safety Recall Y10, related to the fuel supply line. All recalls are performed according to manufacturer guidelines, and we maintain thorough documentation of all services. During your July 2024 visit, you mentioned a fuel line leak based on information from your trusted mechanic. Please note that our service department does not accept diagnostic findings from outside technicians. We can only guarantee work performed by our technicians. It is standard practice in all dealerships that a charge for diagnostic services will need to be approved prior to any testing being done. Our technician identified a fuel leak; however, this does not indicate that the recall was executed improperly. You returned two years post-recall with the fuel rail manufacturing label not attached to the fuel rail, suggesting it may have been removed after the recall service since you had the label in your hand. We were more than happy to work with customer relations decision to replace the fuel rail. As soon as you were informed that we did not have the fuel rail in and that we would contact you once it was in, you immediately became combative with the service advisor. We believe in respectful communication, and unfortunately, during your visit, your language was not only vulgar but inappropriate. Perhaps, you should reflect on your behavior and take responsibility for the way you communicated with women in such a confrontational manner. Your combative behavior prompted an intervention from one of our male technicians asking you to leave the premises. Our commitment to providing the best service experience for our customers remains a top priority for us. We stand by the quality of our service and the integrity of our technicians.
