Once again the service department at Lakeside Toyota drop the ball. Very poor communication between myself and the service department. If you read the first review that I sent this is a continuation of that the ball. Very poor communication between myself and the service department. If you read the first review that I sent this is a continuation of that review. When they finally diagnosed the problem with my truck after bringing it to them multiple times. They ordered the part to fix my truck that was three weeks ago when my part finally came in. I had to acquire see what the problem was. I was told by Alex the reason why I wasn’t called because they had two technicians that weren’t at work. That’s not my problem. The only reason the service department acted so quickly because I wrote my first review about my concerns about the service department. Over three weeks went by, know communication by Alex once again. So I scheduled to bring my truck to be serviced with Alex and she told to bring my truck in for 8:00AM Tuesday morning. 1/2/2024. When I asked her what time my truck will be ready she stated there are two cars ahead of me. So she had me come at 8:00AM to tell me that my truck was not going to be work on till late afternoon. This is not the first time Alex or the other service managers has done this to me. This causes me lost wages if I have to accommodate the service department at Lakeside Toyota. When I left the Service Manager and my self agreed that my truck was going to be ready at 1:00PM. That was with Dave who took Karl place. So it was 1:15PM and know one called to let me know that my truck was ready. I called at 1:17PM and I spoke to Alex and I asked is my truck is ready. She told that there was two cars ahead my truck being serviced. WHY. She stated that they were safety issues.(Brakes). My truck has been a safety issue since May 2023. It was diagnosed for the steering column to be changed. If that’s not a safety issue I don’t know what is. !!!! I would like to conclude by saying that I spoke to Lisa the customer relations manager. She knows what I have been through with the Service Department at Lakeside Toyota. One excuse after another. No apologies at all not even with one service manager at Lakeside Toyota. That’s great way to grow the business. More

Salesman Bob licht only thinks about himself. The service department is the worst and unprofessional department I have ever seen. From top to bottom. I had dealings with every service department manager. There were five of them that were very unprofessional to listen to my concerns. I bought my 2018 Toyota Tundra back in May of 2023. There was an unusual sound my front suspension was making. From there top technicians could not figure out was wrong with it. It was brought to them seven times to diagnose this problem. They try to charge me a diagnostic fee of one hundred seventy dollars. I insisted with all service managers that I have the best warranty which I payed for which is the platinum. Till this day they finally have diagnosed the problem and they said they were waiting for part to come in. I called them last week and the part came in two weeks ago. Now it has been three weeks now since they diagnosed problem and they still have me waiting to get my truck fix. Like I said I pay good money for this warranty which is a platinum warranty. Why do i keep getting pushed to back of the line ? To get my truck fix it has been SEVEN months. Is this truck considered a lemon. Any lawyers out there that might know the law about this matter please let me know. Oh by the way I dealt with the customer relationship supervisor I guess you know the outcome of this conversation. No help once again. From every single person I dealt with at Lakeside Toyota 3701 N Causeway Metairie Louisiana 70002. I just don’t know how this dealership stays in business. Happy Holidays More

The service department try their best with every customer. Just like other businesses, some things are out of the employees control. I've never had an issue in years with them. Called two days in a row and was sent to a recorder on both days. One was to a manager and one was to a service supervisor. Two days later and I am still waiting for a return call. Drove in today (luncht both days. One was to a manager and one was to a service supervisor. Two days later and I am still waiting for a return call. Drove in today (lunchtime) for a quick "look" at my tire light (which was why I called days ago) and no one came out to help me. Totally disgusted. Went online and put in a request for someone to contact me....nill. Guess once I paid $800 for a set of new tires (last week) they are done w/me. (My regular guy, Dave, is on vacation)....maybe that's why nothing is being done. More

I brought my 2016 Tundra in to check out a leak underneath. They called later and said it was coolant leaking from under the valve cover, near the back of the engine. They supposedly fixed it and I was charged thousands of dollars. Fast forward about 6 weeks later, and it is leaking again, near the same area. I was scared to drive 2 hours back there with it leaking coolant, so I brought it to a local mechanic who told me that seems to be where it is leaking again and that the bolts were not even tightened down, one of them was barely in there and about to fall out! I called Lakeside and they told me that they couldn’t help me and that I would have to pay to tow it back to them, because he didn’t recommend driving that far and that because it had been six weeks or so, how did he know of it was their fault or something else! Now I will have to pay someone else to fix the shoddy work done by your dealership, after I already paid thousands to have you fix it right the first time! Worst dealer service ever! More

Sadly, I decided to use this dealership's service dept. for a recall on my Toyota Highlander. They were supposed to inspect the paint job, since this was the recall problem. They kept my car overnight, for the next day since he said it was an all day deal. Waiting all day for someone to call me, I decided to call them around 5:00 PM, since they close at 6:00 PM, to see if I could pick up my car, only to be told (by David, who BTW was so rude from the first time that I met him, taking my keys, me chasing him down to ask if he wanted my name, to which he said NO, John Paul has all of your information). Since I had spoken with John Paul several times, I said okay, then my son and I left. When I called back about my car, David was the one who answered, and told me my car had NOT been inspected because it was listed as SALVAGE! I told him no way, I bought the car new, and was the only owner (except for an ex husband but the title was in my name only). He commented that it was a 2018 model, wrecked and again he said very rudely it was listed as salvage. I said, no sir,it is a 2013 model, and it has never been wrecked! When I asked why they had not called me earlier, David was even more rude and said because we didn’t have your phone number ( *remember the evening told me he didn’t need it, that John Paul had it), and was fussing at me because they went through my car looking for my registration, rudely commenting, "YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE A REGISTRATION IN YOUR VEHICLE!” to which I replied, no I don’t, when I take it some place to stay overnight, I have it with me because people DO break into vehicles around New Orleans, you know!” To that he did not reply. I asked him to explain about the report saying my car was salvage, and he told me to call and speak with John Paul, that all he knew was what the report said and they would not inspect the paint on my car. When I went to pick it up, nearly dark, I found my car LEFT UNLOCKED in the back parking area. And David had the audacity to question my not having a registration in my car! I also had business cards in the glove compartment, with my phone number on them, so they didn’t search too long. I tried calling John Paul back the next day, leaving him a message to please return my call and explain what this report means, as this had never happened to me before. I called again, later, and after a few days of his ignoring my messages and calls, I gave up. My son ordered and paid for a Carfax report online. We both saw the alert had NOTHNG to do with my car being salvaged at all, but rather the odometer reading was the alert. I have already spoken to the DMV, and they have admitted it was a careless mistake on their part, and we are taking care of that. These people, at least these two men, are so RUDE and OBNOXIOUS! I was speaking with a very nice sales person, Henry, that day, while looking at new Rav4’s and explained I had to wait on getting my car painted, so I could sell it. Well, sorry Henry, I won’t be purchasing my new car at Lakeside Toyota. WARNING!!! DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME HERE, or your money. I am a senior lady, and I should not have been treated this way, ignored, fussed at like I was a child, and made to think I was lying about my car. I am still FURIOUS and will consistently be leaving BAD REVIEWS wherever I can!!! More
