I had originally went to the dealership because my mom I had originally went to the dealership because my mom was going to trade in the car I was driving, which was a Toyota Avalon, so she could get a n I had originally went to the dealership because my mom was going to trade in the car I was driving, which was a Toyota Avalon, so she could get a new car, she was working with Dean Hovis on that deal. During that visit Dean showed me a used Scion tC that they had out on the lot, I loved the car but was unable to buy it. Nevertheless, I left that day very said that I no longer had my favorite car. Now here we are less than a year later I had saved some money and was ready to go look for a car. I looked on the website and saw another Scion tC and fell in love with it. My mother was going over to the dealership that weekend to have a check up on her car and she offered for me to go, at the time I had talked my self out of the car and didn't want to go and fall in love with it and leave upset, so I did not go. About 2 hours after she had left she called me and said that she had talked to Dean about the car and that he believed that I would be able to get it. She then came home and picked me and my car, a Toyota Camry, up and took us over to his office. They took a look at my car to see how much it would be worth for a trade in and see how much the payments would be etc. and during all this Dean was very friendly, he even showed us pictures of his kitchen that he had remodeled! The feeling was very family-like and I felt very comfortable there, and he began to refer to the car as "your car", and through out the whole process he would tell me "don't worry! we will get you your car!". Now the car was in the shop getting a new hood because there was some hail damage so I was unable to test drive it. So my mother and I went home and I anxiously awaited a phone call to let me know if I was approved for a loan and when the car was out of the shop. I received that call on a Tuesday afternoon and made plans to go see it the next day. I talked with my mom that night and she said that the payments would be really hard for me to make and if I didn't make them she would have to and she didn't feel comfortable doing that. I then called dean on Wednesday and left him a message saying that he could just sell the car to someone else and that I was sorry I couldn't make it. I was heartbroken, and then a few hours later I received a phone call from Michael Wagner saying that we could adjust the payments and get it down to a more attractive number. I immediately went over to discus this with them. Once I arrived Dean met me at the door with the keys to the car and let me test drive it and see everything it had to offer. We were quickly able to come to a number that was acceptable for my mother and myself and finished the deal. The whole feel of the place is really comfortable and I felt at home! These guys really care and will work with you on things!(: More

I went in to Joe Machens to look at a vehicle i had seen online and was interested in. I ended up talking to Dean Hovis and made an appointment to come see him on a Saturday morning. Dean was personable, gave great eye contact and I could tell was very family oriented. He made me feel right at home and that was very important to me. I am very glad to have worked with him and the next time I need to buy a car I would most definitely go back and work with Dean. He made the potentially stressful situation a smooth transaction. PS: he deserves a raise! More

I didn't even want to go to a Toyota Dealership. I have always been a Honda girl. I was in a very tight spot and everywhere I had went, I got cold shoulders or dealers that just didn't seem to care. Dean Hovis had been trying to get me to respond to him on an inquiry I had sent in about a used Honda I saw they had online. I ignored him and eventually he texted me. I was feeling really down by this time and very discouraged. Dean finally got me to come down to talk to him. I was very surprised that within 15 min of being there, he was taking me out to look at some cars! This was further than I had gotten all week :) Still didn't get my hopes up. Dean did for me what no one else wanted or could do. He helped my dreams come true! But it didn't stop there! Not only did he get me into a 2010 Toyota Corolla but he went out of his way to help me further with the car. Dean and Frank are by far the BEST! No high pressured sales pitch, Dean spent all the time I needed to understand exactly what I wanted in a new vehicle. When I decided to buy a new car I spent weeks staring at a computer screen, reading reviews and comparing prices to decide on a selection of cars I could afford and would be interested in purchasing. It was a computer screen, reading reviews and comparing prices to decide on a selection of cars I could afford and would be interested in purchasing. It was a very tedious process but it was important to me to be an informed consumer. Once I was done with the "research" stage I was very excited to go out and actually test drive some cars. That's supposed to be the fun part right??? Wrong. I visited several dealerships only to leave completely frustrated by my experience with the salesman. I felt extremely pressured by almost every single one of them. They all seemed to be more interested in how much I could spend than helping me find a car that worked for me. Just when I was about to give up and drive my old car until it died, I decided to test drive one more. I called Dean at Joe Machens and he was very polite and told me to come on over. When I got there he had the car I wanted ready for me and even had the AC running which was great because it was 100 degrees out that day. He was very patient with all of my questions and very respectful. I didn't feel pressured at all! All in all I was VERY PLEASED with my experience and have already recommended him to a few of my friends that are looking for new cars. More

I called Dean on a truck I found initially on Ebay and he was absolutely the most helpful person (not typical salesman) I had ever dealt with. Initially called about a used Cadillac Eldorado that was listed on ebay. I talked with Dean Hovis and he was very helpful in telling me information about the car and took my offer to the sales manager. Af listed on ebay. I told Dean I would have to fly in from Tulsa to his store in Columbia, Missouri. Dean picked me up at the airport and his cheerful and knowledgeable sales nature was a delightful experience. The car was stunning and beyond my expectation. He went with me on the test drive and explained every aspect of the cars options. He was professional and friendly throughout the contract preparation. Frank Marcurella led me through the final contract and answered all my questions in a professional way. Eeveryone in the store was super friendly and made my entire buying experience one I will long remember. I highly reccomend this dealership. If you feel reluctant about buying from a dealership that is a great distance from your home, rest assured if it happens to be Joe Machens. More
