Alexandria Volkswagen got me hooked on my CPO TDI Jetta Sportwagen, cherry red with a 6 speed manual, for a good price. The problem was, they never could figure out when the car would be ready. When Gary finally told me the car would be ready, after a month of back and forthing, I drove the 5 hours to Alexandria VW. The car was tucked in the back corner of their lot, and surprise- not ready. I had been working with Nathaniel who was lovely throughout the process. When I actually showed up to purchase the car, though, Dean Reyes stepped in and took over. The one nice thing he did for me throughout this was give my Volvo a push start when the starter died on the lot while purchasing my Jetta. Otherwise, I don't see how he is still employed here. He copied me in a very rude email to Gary about how I am an annoying customer, how he gave me a whole $100 off the purchase price and free worn out rubber mats and that I can go buy tires and screw off, basically. The car was advertised for 9000, then mysteriously went up 1k while I was driving up to buy it. No mention of the CPO fee they throw on when you actually buy the car, and the tag and title fee. Grudgingly, I bought it still- it was the car I wanted, and the CPO fee meant everything had been addressed. Boy was I wrong. Alexandria VW gave the car a speed sensor, did the Dieselgate recall, spit and polish and a new battery. They falsified the rest of the CPO checklist. My car had rodent damage, very old fuel filter, cabin air filter full of mold and all kinds of stuff, and an old engine air filter, not to mention the tires that are cracking all around the tread. I bought a beautiful, "certified pre-owned" car, and I am still fighting with VW Corporate to make this right. Buyer beware, I do not see how Alexandria is considered a "Premier" dealer. More

Stacking up incentives you would have to qualify and calling it an internet sales price is a very underhanded. Advertise the price the cars according to what they cost out the door. Be upfront and stop wasting everyone's time! More

Despite being a rather busy Sunday the Salesmen took the time to talk to me about the various trims and differences (or lack thereof) between a 2019 and a 2018 model. After two test drives I went home that afternoon with a new car I was very happy with both the car and the experience! More

Bait-and-Switch, not willing to explain and unwelcoming I was treated with absolute disrespect during my visit on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. I went in to view a CPO vehicle ('15 VW GTI Autobahn - Silve I was treated with absolute disrespect during my visit on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. I went in to view a CPO vehicle ('15 VW GTI Autobahn - Silver) that had very competitive pricing, and worked with Dean through the process. Things were going overall well through the 4 hours I was there. The Sales Manager Chip was very friendly, and was the one who originally scheduled my appointment with Dean. I understand this may be a smaller dealership, but I was uncomfortable at multiple times such as... Provided the vehicle to test drive but without anybody with me or verification of my valid driver's license or insurance and being shown the vehicle paperwork while having been seated right across the bathroom door. The absolute worst is yet to come... 1. The front passenger wheel was heavily curb rashed, and I requested a quote to have it repaired from the dealer upon pickup or later w/ appointment, but they refused to let me pay for it separately and insisted on placing it on the sale price to finance. 2. After being provided the paperwork for the Volkswagen 112-point CPO inspection paperwork, I noted that the entire section for Underbody was incomplete (which may be due to the fact that this car had only been on the lot for 8 days), with the exception of the tires and tread. When questioned how this part was not completed, yet placed on sale as CPO, Dean assured me it CPO, stepped away for 1 minute and came back with the checkmarks on the sheet. That did not put my mind at ease. 3. The invoice contained a $795 "Destination Fee". Dean himself told me the vehicle had been traded into the location, and when I asked what this charge was, he told me this is how the dealer includes the 2yr Bumper-to-Bumper CPO vehicle warranty. This bumper-to-bumper coverage should inherently be included within VW's Certification standards, as well as SiriusXM for compatible vehicles (which was not mentioned even once). Either this was false, or intentionally misleading since the price listed online and in the dealership was for a VW Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle. When I told them to stop before running credit, and I would need another day to consider, as well as contact VW to better understand the certification process, Dean told me that I wasted his time, that he would not sell me the vehicle even if I came back the next day, and that I was no longer welcome at the dealership. Despite only wanting clear and comfortable explanations for a relatively new car buyer (Under 30, 2nd vehicle purchase), I was essentially kicked out of the dealership. When I asked for the personal information I had submitted on the paperwork, the financial manager said "you're not buying the car?" with an attitude and pushed the paperwork back towards me. They would not allow me to take any of the vehicle information, invoice or inspection paperwork (copies) with me. Suffice to say, I definitely won't return to this dealership, and I've already retold these events to several friends, family and coworker. I'm also filing a complaint with corporate VW to ensure that this dealership's CPO process is audited, because of my concerns with the inspection paperwork just getting checks from the salesperson and not wanting to take the chance of others getting an improperly certified vehicle.
