Dear Customer, We are sorry for your frustration with the sales process here, but we are both aware that we offered to hold the truck with a deposit when you were visiting us, liked the truck, and just had to check with your wife to see if you could get it. You did decline to leave a deposit at that point, and when you contacted us the following day to put a hold on the vehicle we had a customer actively looking at it in our showroom. As they were here, they had first right to the vehicle, and did purchase it at that time. Obviously we would take any solid deal that is in front of us rather than take a chance on a customer tomorrow. We apologize if you did not fully understand the situation, and the process, but we would never say no to a deal that we offered. We are sorry that we could not come to a decision and agreement on the truck while you were here, and that you missed out on this vehicle. Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business, and we hope to have that opportunity again in the future. Best Regards, Team Gates GMC Buick Nissan

Carlton, We were notified that you were unhappy with your experience here and do understand your frustration. If you remember, we actually offered to take a deposit to hold the vehicle while you spoke with the other decision maker in your household. You declined a deposit when we offered, but did ask us to hold the truck for you without one. Unfortunately because we did have other customers interested in the vehicle, with multiple sales people, we could not put a hold on a vehicle without a deposit in house. This would not be fair to any of the other parties involved. I do see that you asked us to hold the truck again via email on 9/1 at 10:30am, but there was no deposit mentioned in that email. We apologize for not responding to your email sooner, but the month close and day after are both very busy days. We get back to everyone as fast as possible, but it is not always right away. Regarding your concern about us trying to get more for the truck from someone else: When we offer a price on a vehicle, we don't give out numbers we would not honor. Any pricing we give is what we are able and willing to sell a vehicle for. As you can see from our over 1,000 positive reviews on here our customers are happy with us. I hope you understand where we are coming from as a dealership, and place of business. What I would like to offer is that we do our utmost to find another vehicle that suits your needs, and offer that vehicle at a great price. Please contact me if you would like to take us up on that offer. I look forward to resolving your unsatisfactory experience. I was hoping to have a professional conversation with you and resolve this. When I came over the first night we offered to take a refundable deposit. I reviewed the text message chain on his phone already. At the time when you wanted to put a deposit on the truck there was a customer actively looking at it. A customer in the showroom always first right to a vehicle if they came in and it was not spoken for. They got here at 9:30am and were out in the truck for the morning. We really want to sell vehicles, and honestly don't really care who purchases them. We will take the first deal we can on anything. It is just how the car business operates. If you had comitted to the truck, we would have sold it to you. A definite sale always beats a maybe. You did have a more than fair opportunity to leave a deposit the night you were here. After you were told it was refundable you still did not leave one. I was there for that. You were holding your wallet in your hand, but did not offer to leave a deposit. I am sorry to hear that you don't want us to continue looking and find you a great truck. Best Regards, Jake Gurzler

I wondered why you had your wallet out, but you never said anything! I was right at the desk next to you. It's not like you were someone else's customer, it was Jimmy's sale whether you purchased or someone else. We don't offer deals that we don't want to take. There is no other real explanation here besides the fact that we didn't communicate well when you were here. If we can have an opportunity to find you a truck, I will have a different salesperson help, and personally make sure that it is a great experience. Thank you, Jake Gurzler

What we are trying to do is create a satisfied customer and resolve this conflict. Of course we don't want a negative rating, but what we want more than good ratings are happy people. Jimmy would have had the sale either way, so there was no reason for him to not sell the truck to you, and get it wrapped up at that time. He had already spent the time with you. The problem arose when we could not get a committment to purchase the vehicle at that time. We like to have resolution with any customer conflict that comes up, whether they purchase from us or not. I understand we both have our opinions of what happened, and that those may not change. We feel that it is important that you understand that I and the dealership are completely unbiased about who we sell vehicles to. If there had been an understanding that you were willing to purchase the vehicle that night, we would have consumated the deal. Thank you, Jake Gurzler

That's a bunch of bs, once jimmy told me that the deposit was refundable I told him ok I will put a deposit (maybe you should send him to school so he can learn english, and tell him to calm down the f bombs, he is out of control). He then went and talked to someone and came back and told me that because he had a customer already scheduled to look at the truck the he wasn't going to take the deposit. That's when you told me to contact you or jimmy if I wanted to put it under deposit the next day. Which I did, tell jimmy to show you the text message trail, at 12 ish I said I wanted to put a deposit on it. If you really wanted to sell me the truck then rich could have emailed me to tell me that a deposit was required. I would have called right away. This is the second deal that gates has f'd me over on. I hope many people see my comments and steer clear of your dealership. I find it funny how you have no negatives, I checked almost everyone. I can tell you I will make sure mine is kept there. As for finding me another vehicle, well hell would have to freeze over before that would ever happen.

Why do you think my wallet was in my hand, SO I COULD LEAVE A DEPOSIT. I was told by jimmy that it was a conflict of interest and that he didn't feel like he should take the deposit. Sounds like you have your side and I have mine, I know what was said. All you salesmen are slez balls, can't stand working with any of you.

I know what was said, Jimmy did not want my deposit because you guys had booked him another appointment to look at the truck. As I said before I will NEVER go back to Gates or any of the dealers you guys own. I see what you are trying to do and I am not changing my rating.

You can stop with the messages, I am NOT removing my negative. Good thing I didn't buy it, found a much better truck for less at a dealer that wanted to work with me.
