I had a transmission installed in a 2020 Gmc Sierra
Denali. After the work was completed I got under the truck to verify that things were put back together properly. I found that a clip was broken allo

I found that a clip was broken allowing the O2 sensor cable was laying on top of the 4x4 drive shaft and another wire clip or Christmas tree wasn't properly seated. If I wouldn't have caught the wire resting on the drive shaft months later when the wire would have been worn bare. I would have been stuck paying for the repair due the failure of the mechanic not taking a few minutes to verify the accuracy of his work. I brought the truck back and the issue I hope was corrected as I haven't yet verified the work.

My poor experience at Holms started with an $8,000
misquote from their service department for a common problem with 2017 Chevy Silverado's(design defect). My point being, it’s a common problem they “f

Companies I’ve worked for in the past and currently have misquoted as well and you know what happens? They eat it or some of it with an explanation and apology.
This new quote amount pushed me into looking at new truck options to ease the financial burden. Which led me to the only positive experience I’ve had with Holms; the buying experience.
After purchasing the 23 GMC Jan 7th 24 I’ve had 2 check engine lights on and 1 recall before 13k miles. 4 months not being able to use my remote start due to those check engine lights. I work too xxxx hard to pay too xxxx much to not be able to use the remote start on my 2023 GMC. Part of that was due to them not calling me after receiving the part like they said they would. As a Service Manager I take our customer relationships very seriously. When I know we’ve made a mistake or have an upset customer, I take extra time and care to ensure that customers sour taste of us is erased and quickly! I would have created a task in my task list as a reminder to follow up with that valuable customer.
Holms has reached out multiple times, more so early on but recently as well to ask how I’m liking the truck. My response has always been the same. I don’t like the truck, here’s why and here’s where my frustration started. I was told by 2 employees that Holms “cared about the owning experience as well, not just the buying experience”. That has not been my experience.
I reached out 9/11 to the salesman I purchased from who’s been promoted (great guy) and asked for a phone call. I was told he would call tomorrow and provided a good time but never received the call. Lease incentives will start in a few months and I needed to decide what my next move would be.
Unfortunately, this is my experience with Holm Buick GMC. I will follow this with a review and call to GMC as well to let them know how their leased 2023 GMC is working for me.
