I bought a used volvo in may of this year and have had an issue with the brakes since the day i bought it. Devon from sales assured me the brakes had been checked and serviced when i asked about it during the test drive, and that it was just moisture spots on the rotors from the car sitting on the lot. I took the car back to the dealer in October for a free oil change through their maintenance program and was initially told that my left rear pad was at 2 mm and would need to be replaced for $550. After explaining the sales experience the service rep i was dealing with said they would ask the manager about fixing it at a significant discount since the car had less than 10,000 miles put on it since it’s purchase. The service manager came back and said that a trainee had done the inspection, and my brake pad was actually at 7 mm, so i declined the service (at his recommendation) and was sent on my way. Today (mid-November) i brought my car to a mechanic in my area and he informed me i had no right rear brake pad remaining and now i am paying out of pocket for an issue that should never have happened in the first place, especially within 6 months of buying the car. Do not do business here under any circumstances. More

Super nice to you while you’re shopping for a car, but the second the paperwork is signed they will give you the run-around for as long as possible so any issues fall outside of the 3 month warranty and y the second the paperwork is signed they will give you the run-around for as long as possible so any issues fall outside of the 3 month warranty and you pay out of pocket. A $350 was broken when i bought the car and it has taken over a month of phone calls, requesting service appointments, and finally showing up in person to be told the part has even been ordered when i made the dealer (salesman Deven and manager Juan) aware the day after purchasing the car what i had found to be broken upon driving it home. Juan tried to be helpful and fix it himself but he clearly did not know what he was doing and the problem has only gotten worse. More
