They kept it real To give some background: I am a first time car buyer through a dealership. My previous cars are from family or family assisted through Craigslist. So To give some background: I am a first time car buyer through a dealership. My previous cars are from family or family assisted through Craigslist. So when my 1997 Rav 4 finally kicked the bucket, I wanted a reliable and certified used car, instead of doing the whole sketchy Craigslist thing, especially without a mechanic friend to come with me. So taking my friends' advice to go try cars in the make, style, and type I liked. I had a hodge-podge of an experience. At one set of dealers the salespersons were friendly, and at others I got pigeonholed into what they think I could afford and was shown crap. Being a female too, all the reps second guessed me and tried to avoid me taking a look under the hood or inspecting the trunk for a spare. Having an older car teaches you to appreciate those details. My significant other all the while was helping me take notes, being morale support, my designated man, and researcher. He found a few used Mazda 3s, since the 2017 one I test-drove was what I ended up comparing everything to, at the dealership in San Juan Capistrano, which is down the way from our home. We get there, but they were busy! Which makes sense, because their staff was so nice! Easy to work with, and absolutely pleasant and accommodating! The first person we ran into, Diego, ended up being our rep. Oh man! Diego was a breathe of fresh air after a long day of car hunting (10am to 6pm!). Diego was cordial, polite, never blinked an eye at my need to investigate, and encouraging of a test-drive. Just a down-right cool dude. He was straight forward and transparent with my man's and my questions. I ended up falling in love with the car. The paperwork process was painless, no real haggling was necessary, and the finance team was understanding. My experience is a testament to the importance of transparency and good humans make good sales people. In the end Chris from finance had us rolling, and took care of me with a good deal. All-in-all: I am coming back for service in the future and I could have beer at the end of the day with these dudes. More

We appreciated his help and we trusted him. We took a month to evaluate our options and found Capistrano Mazda offered us the best trade in value for our car, as well as the best options for purchasing/leasing our new car. We cannot say enough good things and are very pleased with our new CX 5. More

I went down to the dealership to meet Diego and the rest of the staff of Capistrano Mazda, and was extremely impressed by their level of service. Diego addressed all of my needs from the perspective of a friend rather than just a car salesman. I went in thinking that this would be some kind of sell-job, but he really made me feel welcome and I'm very thankful that he took such a personal interest in my case. I was offered a few incentive programs, and we were able to work out a payment plan that fit perfectly within my budget, while still maintaining the quality of vehicle that I desired. Thanks Diego! Appointments were scheduled adequately so there weren't a lot of crabby people waiting around for their cars. The waiting area was fine for me and I enjoyed the coffee machine. They offered to take me home instead of waiting but since I'm at least 1/2 hour away I didn't take them up on it. The only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is because the locale, so not something they could change. Maybe a vending machine would have been nice, but there was popcorn available. I would have liked to walk to a plaza or restaurant but there is nothing near. Maybe could have had them drop me somewhere besides home. I was told the repair would take 2-2 1/2 hours and it was done promptly before 2 hours. Fredy also fixed a bothersome problem I'd had with my remote free of charge which was terrific. My car was washed and left tidy as if no work had been done. More

We had our Mazda 6 for 13 years and over 250,000 miles. We have had our second Mazda truck for 18 years and over 220,000 miles. Our experience with everyone at Mazda has always been professional and consistent. Freddy Campos and Hector Arvizu in the service department are great to work with and keep our vehicles in top shape. We just bought a CX9 and our sales person Diego Blakey was easy to work and excellent at helping us navigate all the new technologies. Chris in the finance department had everything prepared and ready to go once we made our decision. We are very happy Mazda customers and always recommend Mazda to our friends and family. More
