1 Star — Extremely Disappointing and a Waste of Time I had a very disappointing experience with Napleton Arlington Heights while attempting to sell my vehicle. The dealership contacted me regarding my had a very disappointing experience with Napleton Arlington Heights while attempting to sell my vehicle. The dealership contacted me regarding my car and initially provided what appeared to be a fair estimate. I was specifically asked to provide the Toyota dealer’s inspection report, which I promptly sent to them. After reviewing the information, they asked me to bring the vehicle to their dealership so they could conduct their own inspection. I made the trip and spent my time and effort doing so based on the understanding that the initial discussions and the information I had provided would be taken into consideration. Unfortunately, after completing their inspection, they came back with a significantly lower offer. What is most frustrating is not simply that their final offer was lower. Dealerships are obviously entitled to adjust an offer after an inspection. The problem was the way this process was handled. After the discussions, the exchange of information, and their request that I bring the vehicle in, I felt that my time and effort had not been respected. If the dealership already had concerns that could materially affect the value of the vehicle, those concerns should have been addressed before asking me to make the trip, especially after receiving the Toyota dealer’s inspection report. This experience left me feeling that the initial estimate was not a realistic representation of what they were actually prepared to offer. My advice to anyone considering selling a vehicle to this dealership: get the offer and all important valuation assumptions in writing before making the trip, and do not assume that the initial estimate will be honored after they get you to the dealership. I value straightforward and transparent business dealings. Unfortunately, that is not what I experienced here, and I would not want another customer to waste their time and effort as I did. More

I know this will never get posted on the dealer website, but worth a shot. They usually only post positive reviews. I am also a repeat customer. I had an awful experience at Napleton Jeep Arlington Heights. but worth a shot. They usually only post positive reviews. I am also a repeat customer. I had an awful experience at Napleton Jeep Arlington Heights. It started with the salesperson being in over his head. He didn't have much knowledge of the vehicle and couldn't answer specific questions regarding the car. The sales manager came over to help his partner. I can't recall his name but was very condescending and had sarcastic tone in voice. He was trying to be funny, but it came across as being total jerk. Also , he was arrogant when his was negotiating the price of the car. I couldn't believe he was the sales manager at this dealership. It must be a low bar. They negotiation process was a joke. The car was dinged and scratched up in many places. We asked for a lower price because of those flaws. The didn't take any money off a used car that had many scratches and dings on it. Just crazy! If it was up to me, I would've walked out right there. The car was for my son, he wanted it very badly so I had no choice. I asked for them to fill up the gas tank as a courtesy like most dealership do when purchasing a car. We get in the car they put in a half of tank of gas. If you made the effort to put gas in the car from quarter tank to half, why not just fill it up all the way. They told me they would fill up the tank. A salesperson not keeping their word, shocking. The final part of this process occurred when we received the key fobs for the car. My son goes outside all excited to get in and one of the fobs doesn't work. So, he himself goes in to ask to get it fixed. The response was priceless. He was told we was lucky to get two fobs for the car and to buy a battery yourself for it. That is such great customer service that makes people want to come back and buy another vehicle from them. Needless to say I will not but another vehicle from that dealership and will all my friends and colleagues to stay away as well. You must treat customers with respect and be transparent in the process. It's a very shady dealership that doesn't treat repeat customers right. They offered no real compensation for my time and aggrevation. They were more than happy to cash my check. Just gave me a bunch of excuses and bad apologies for the horrible experience. I hope the management team will post this review. Most likely not. More
