Jim was great working with us - very professional and able to answer all of my questions about the vehicle. The purchasing process was efficient and easy as they used (mostly) electronic forms and explai able to answer all of my questions about the vehicle. Finance clearly explained all options and worked with me to get the lowest rate possible. Dmitry didn't try to pressure us into packages we didn't want and give clear expectations going forward after purchase. I've met some unethical car salesmen before, but the people at Koons take the cake! I was referred to their website in my car search. I found a car I liked and the website encouraged an easy online shopping experience. This is good for me because I live 111 miles away. After speaking to Roberto in sales and Dimitri in finance, I gave them my information and filled out an online credit application. Dimitri did a great job getting me approved on the car with terms I found acceptable. Then the first red flag came up, he then pressed that I should come to the dealership right away to finish the sale. I explained to him that it was already well into evening, I live over 2 hrs away, and I also work at night. My intention was to go there on Saturday to pick up the vehicle, but he insisted that it be sooner. I gave in and told him that I will be there the very next day to get the car. The next day I just happened to text Roberto concerning my trade before heading down, and that's when he just texted back that they sold the car to someone else. Not even the basic decency or courtesy of a call to let me know to save myself the 2hr drive. I called the dealership at least expecting someone to explain what happened. I left voice messages but no one would even call me back. It is just the most disrespectful treatment I've ever experienced. These people cannot be trusted at their word. I tried calling the GM, Mr. Gurvich, as he appears to be open to genuine customer concerns as I've seen in the reviews. I was just directed to the used car sales manager who was simply unapologetic and kept repeating that the reason for the way I was treated, is because they are a first come type of dealership. Basically..."tough". So I guess buying online means you actually did not come first? I trusted these people with my personal information and took them at their word that we had a deal... then the first person that came after me got the car. What they did was so wrong. The used car sales manager even went as far to suggest that "we can't hold the car forever." So according to this snake oil salesman, overnight = forever? These people have fulfilled every negative car salesman stereotype, which is sad, because I know some good ones. But I know that even as they read this review they may be laughing it off, because they obviously have no sense of shame or recognition of karma or the golden rule. Buyer beware. More

I think it speaks volumes for a dealership when a customer is willing to buy twice off their used lot. Their prices for the used cars are very fair, and we were never pressured during any part of the process including financing. We called ahead and the Highlander and another comparable vehicle were out front and ready for us to drive which was nice since we had our children with us. We would recommend going to see them if you are in the market for a vehicle. They don’t play games like other dealers and everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. They even fed our children lunch and helped to entertain them while we signed all the paperwork. More

A Long Journey Has A Happy Ending I have been looking for a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime for some time. I am from Georgia and for some reason only a very few of these vehicles made it to t I have been looking for a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime for some time. I am from Georgia and for some reason only a very few of these vehicles made it to the Southeastern states. After an exhaustive internet search, Koons Westminster Toyota had the exact vehicle I was looking for, and their online advertised price was exceptional. I began communicating with the dealership and was fortunate to get to know John Ewald, a Sales Specialist there. John assured me that the advertised price was genuine and that the vehicle I wanted was still available. John has that rare quality every salesman needs: he is a great listener. He made me feel confident that if I drove the 625 miles from my home in Georgia to the dealership in Westminster, Maryland that I would be able to get the vehicle I wanted at an unbeatable price. I am happy to say John was right! I also want to give special thanks to two other members of the Koons Westminster Toyota team. Dan Harkins, the New Car Sales Manager, knew how much I wanted the new Prius Prime and he bent over backwards to give me a super trade in value on my vehicle that would make the deal work for me financially. Speaking of finances, hats off also to Dmitry Tsomik, Finance Manager, for the smoothest, hassle-free financing and paperwork session I have ever experienced. Exceptional Buying Experience I live and work in Northern Virginia and have no fewer than 8 Toyota dealerships within 25 miles of me. I visited many of those and talked to all the I live and work in Northern Virginia and have no fewer than 8 Toyota dealerships within 25 miles of me. I visited many of those and talked to all the others on the phone or via emails during the search for my vehicle. I knew exactly what I wanted, right down to the color. Unfortunately, the model with the options and color I wanted was impossible to locate in the area. I even widened my search several hundred miles south and west, still no luck. Through the course of my test driving and researching, my wife decided she wanted the identical vehicle and options, just in another color. Her color of choice was a little more available we were told, yet no local dealerships actually had it on their lots. I happened to notice Koons Westminster Toyota during one of my searches and called them to see if they had any way of getting their hands on the vehicle in the color I was looking for. I talked to Product Specialist Eugene Bush. He advised that he did not have one but said he would look around to see if they could locate one. It was then that I told him that while looking for the one color, look for it in the color my wife wanted too and I would buy both from him. While I had made this same request to other dealerships, Eugene was the only one who seemed to actually take me seriously. Eugene called me the next day to advise that Sales Manager Dan Harkins and Inventory Manager Nate Snook had located both vehicles at other dealerships. They had arranged to have one brought to Koons Westminster Toyota for me later that day, the other would arrive a couple of days later. I had already experienced other dealerships telling me that they had the exact vehicle I wanted, only to be told upon arrival at their dealerships that “someone just bought it before you got here” or “oh, I thought this was the color you were interested in”, etc. So, I made it very clear that I was not interested in driving for 90+ minutes just to be told that there was a misunderstanding or something. Eugene understood my concern and assured me that they don’t play games like that at Koons Westminster Toyota. Later that day, he sent me pictures of the vehicle on their lot. I asked him to run the numbers for me to see if we could agree upon an out the door price. Sales Manager Dan Harkins sent me the figures within a few minutes, which were better than any I had received locally. I drove up to Westminster the next day and did the paperwork for both vehicles, driving one home that evening, then returning the following weekend to pick up the second vehicle. There were no surprise fees added, no manipulation of any of the numbers, etc. The figures that Dan provided to me the day before were exactly what I ended up paying. Dimtri Tsomik handled all of our financing, explaining every piece of paper put in front of us. Each step and every line we signed was fully explained. I could not have had a more pleasant experience with everyone we came into contact with at Koons Westminster Toyota. Before dealing with Koons Westminster Toyota , I thought that all dealerships were the same. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in, they will manipulate numbers, try to convince you that you don’t want the vehicle you think you do, or the options that you think you need, etc. I experienced none of these way-too-common practices at Koons Westminster Toyota. Not only were they able to locate one impossible-to-find vehicle for me, they got it and another difficult-to-find vehicle on their lot within the span of a couple of days. Their prices were the best I could find anywhere in or out of my area as well. No games, no hassles, great prices and the ability to work miracles: Why would you buy a vehicle from any other dealer? More

Great Experience I have purchased 6 new Toyotas from Koons In Westminster in the past. This was the first pre-owned car I purchased, RAV4, and it was a very pleasant experience. My daughter and I worked with Brian Gerber and he was awesome. He spent a lot of time with us and made us feel very comfortable. My daughter (who is 20) said "He is a really nice guy. I did not know care salesmen were so nice." I agreed 100%. If you are going to buy a pre-owned car from Koons ask for Brian Gerber. I used the internet to search for RAV4 vehicles within a 200 mile radius. Koons had the best value (lowest mileage, competitive price and best condition vehicle). The Koons staff makes you feel very comfortable when purchasing a car! If your in the market for a new or pre-owned Toyota, give them a try. You will not be disappointed. More
