I have been interacting with the service department for weeks. I have called 3-4 times to speak with someone about the status of my Santa Fe. I never heard back from any service manager despite leaving m weeks. I have called 3-4 times to speak with someone about the status of my Santa Fe. I never heard back from any service manager despite leaving multiple messages. I donated my car and ended up purchasing a Toyota. Part of my decision to not buy a Hyundai was because of my terrible experience interacting with the service department. More

Outrageous prices and lousy business ethics. I was quoted a labor price of some $400 to replace the driver side mirror actuator, plus the price of the part. Based on their labor rate of $269 per I was quoted a labor price of some $400 to replace the driver side mirror actuator, plus the price of the part. Based on their labor rate of $269 per hour, it figures at about 1.5 hours. Gave them the car at 11.02 am, got it back at 11.55 am. When I questioned why the bill still shows the $400 plus for labor, I was told that I had approved that price and thus have to pay it. When I argued that I am not willing to pay for 1.5 hours when it only took barely 1, I was offered a conversation with the service manager. He got rather upset at my argument, but finally reduced the labor rate. What a missed opportunity for a great reputation! I am now telling all my friends to never buy at Huyndai car. Obviously, I will never set foot in that place again! Consider the other scenario: the service rep comes up to me to say, great news! We quoted you $400 plus for the labor, but it only took our talented technician 1 hour, so we are only charging you $269 plus tax, congratulations on saving that money. Have a nice day! I would have marveled at the excellent service and ethical behavior of this store and its workers, and would have told all my friends what a wonderful outfit they are. For the store, the outcome is the same financially, but reputation-wise very different. By the way, I believe it is illegal to double-charge. In the half-hour they were going to charge me for, the technician would have been working on someone else’s car, charging another $269 per hour, bringing their total for that half-hour to $538 per hour. This is the most disorganized service department I have ever seen. Need to stick to sales and get rid of service. I will never bring my vehicle back there, even for free oil changes ever seen.
