"Round 2" of my Jim Ellis/Equinox experience. Well, as I typed this was Round 2 of my Jim Ellis/Equinox experience. The first time I brought it in, on Friday 9.13 and took off work to do so) for t Well, as I typed this was Round 2 of my Jim Ellis/Equinox experience. The first time I brought it in, on Friday 9.13 and took off work to do so) for the engine icon being on and stalling a few times. We (my darling Bride, and I) waited for at least 6 hours for a diagnostic check to be performed. After that was completed, I was told the problem was solved (battery and oil cap seal issues) and we could be on my way. I happily paid the bill and drove off the lot with a smile on my face. But that smile was turned upside down, when the following day (Saturday) the same thing happened. Engine icon and stalling. Well as you might realize I was not happy. So I called and was told to bring my Equinox back in. We arrived (about) 3:30pm and the closing was to occur at 4. I will not go into much detail, but I was given a loaner, since I had no way of getting home or to work on Monday. This loaner happened to be a 2019 Chevy Silverado! One of the biggest vehicles I had ever seen. Anyway, since my wife and me are not physical giants, we almost needed a forklift to get in and a parachute to get out. And, I will admit I was a bit nervous driving a vehicle this BIG since I was unsure of the width and didn't want to knock cars, nor trees out of my way as I drove. Edit: Anyway, I made it safely home and to work on Monday. And then lo and behold, I received a call and was told my Equinox was ready to go home. The problem was discovered ( I'm still unsure what it was) and I could come pick it up. And with no additional charges. HURRAH! Well, it's now Tuesday and so far, no problems. But I would like to add that during this experience, everyone was great and friendly. And I understand that "things" happen, so even though I was disturbed I still never lost faith in the Jim Ellis Service Department. And that is the reason I will continue to go there for service. We also have a 2005 Saturn VUE that is having (I believe) transmission problems. And in time we will bring it in to Jim Ellis for servicing as well. Why? This company went far beyond my expectations Not only do they do a good job on the service of my brakes, they detailed my car when they were finished, and I never even asked him to do that! When Not only do they do a good job on the service of my brakes, they detailed my car when they were finished, and I never even asked him to do that! When I came to pick up my car it was shiny clean and spotless. the car still looks brand new because it only has 4,000 miles on it. it looked like it just came off the showroom floor, now that is service beyond any other dealership I've ever dealt with!!! More

Happy for the service in a time crunch Paul Jarrell was very helpful when helping me with my car. Unexpectedly, my driver side window came off the track and fell in my door. Paul assisted me the best way he could until my part came in. Once my part came in they performed relatively fast to fix it after I called about it. Was disappointment about how much the extend warranty covered and that I had residual blue sticky coloring on the chrome and door of my car from them having to cover the window. Lesson learned is do not by the extended warranty from the sale department because it does not cover a lot. Better over saving the money from the extended warranty for when things actually happen because you will still pay out of pocket and more than the simple copay. I bought my car from this same dealer and come here for the life of the car and counting. Nevertheless Paul Jarrell was still gave excellent customer service and I give him 5 stars. More

I was disappointed when I got my vehicle back after being serviced, it was not detailed. Other dealerships, I have done business with in the past, this was a STANDARD practice. I was a little disappointed, this was not something you have to request, instead of being the norm for the business. Maybe next time. Remember, first impressions are lasting... More

Service center visit This was my very first visit to the service department. I did not have an assigned service provider. However, the moment I walked in the door I was This was my very first visit to the service department. I did not have an assigned service provider. However, the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by Robert Sigman. He got me checked in and my car serviced in a reasonable amount of time.
