BUYER BEWARE. Sales prices are NOT honored. Briefly communicated with sales rep Eric and he was good with no issues. It was once I asked for the out the door price and got sent to the general manager O communicated with sales rep Eric and he was good with no issues. It was once I asked for the out the door price and got sent to the general manager Ondra that things went south immediately. They advertised a Honda certified pre-owned Accord Touring for $21,999 and I was told the out the door price would be $26,400. I immediately inquired if this was the proper price as taxes on $21,999 would be $1,374 leaving around $3,026 in undisclosed fees. Ondra avoided my direct question about how the dealership was attempting to add those fees and asked me how much I "wanted to pay". I was eventually sent to the sales manager Freddie who tried to hide behind a disclaimer as the reason for the $3,026 discrepancy. Freddie eventually broke down the dealership charges which was a sales price of $21,999 for the advertised Honda certified pre-owned vehicle, IN ADDITION to a $999 "certification" fee (American Honda prohibits dealerships from selling the warranty separately by the way), a $1,499 "dealer prep" fee (American Honda's “Certified Pre-Owned” designation indicates the dealership already has reconditioned any component that does not meet the manufacturer’s standards”), and of course tax/title/license. The management at this dealership is hoping that you are not aware of their deceptive and prohibited practices that should be reported to both American Honda and the FTC. This dealership should google "FTC vs Bronx Honda" as they were just fined 1.5 million months ago for using the same deceptive practices of listing a price online that they have no intention of honoring, charging a separate certification fee, and charging bogus dealer prep fees. This dealership is in violation of Section 5(a) of the FTC Act, 15 U.S.C. § 45(a) for false or misleading advertisements and constitutes deceptive acts or practices. More
