Good sales experience I had a very good experience with my salesperson, Ernesto. He was very thorough and efficient. His attention to my car buying needs was a big factor I had a very good experience with my salesperson, Ernesto. He was very thorough and efficient. His attention to my car buying needs was a big factor in me purchasing my new Elantra. However, I left work early to pick up the car. The head of finance held things up because he would not accept the date on my new insurance card which was dated for midnight that night. My insurance company (USAA) sent over a binder covering me for the current day (which is accepted in Connecticut come to find out in the end). The head of finance would not accept this. He was argumentative with my insurance agent that I have been with for 26 years and threatened to hang up on him and call back to talk to someone else. By this point I was there for 2.5 hours when I had been told I would just be able to come in and pick up the car right away. I threatened to take back my downpayment and go elsewhere. He rushed away angry and the next thing I know they are putting a dealer plate on my car so I can leave. He never spoke with me again. They sent the salesman to me the next day with the registration and new plates. I sent over this insurance information at 12 noon the day of my purchase. I am not sure why there was an issue at 6:30pm. There was no apology for the inconvenience or anything from the head of finance. Again, the only reason I stayed with the process was because my salesperson was genuinely doing his job. More

Totally Disappointed. On Saturday afternoon my family and I went looking for a used car for my nephew. I stopped by Danbury Hyundai. I met with Mark, the yard guy. He wa On Saturday afternoon my family and I went looking for a used car for my nephew. I stopped by Danbury Hyundai. I met with Mark, the yard guy. He was awesome. I had two very small children with me and he was very friendly. I met with Ernesto Rivera, a sales men, he was great. I was going to pay for the car outright that day. I didn't understand the concept that if you were paying cash, you had to pay any additional 599. So we discussed taking a loan and paying it off in the first month. Mike Riccelli, manager advised he would wave the 599 fee for cash. We had discussed taking the warranty, but then decided against it. When I got to finance, I was told by Shamus that I HAD to take the warranty or we could not do the deal. And they had already taken 1000. of my money. I finally walked out of the dealership, 5 hours later, no car, no deal, and was told I had to wait until Monday to get my refund. So very disappointed with this dealership and the way they do business.Dealing with this dealership was very difficult and that buying the car straight out they made me it more difficult to conduct this transaction. More
