My husband and I drove past the 2020 white Gladiator on your lot. We quickly made a stop to see the details and test drive this Jeep. When we stopped, around 11, a salesman, named Eugene, who looked like he was just arriving, stopped and asked us if we wanted to see the truck. After putting his lunch away, he came out with the keys. Now, this young man didn’t know much about Jeeps, but was helpful in providing us with a test drive. I made it clear that I, the woman, owned the 2017 JKU and it was I, the woman, wanting to buy the JT. We went inside and wanted to know the trade offer on my JKU. The salesman left me, my husband lets me deal with the paperwork alone and was out looking at the other JT on site. When the salesman comes back with an insulting offer of 26,500 for my JKU, I thanked him for his time and asked for my keys back. He insisted that I talk with the manager on duty. I stood up to leave and he quickly went to get the manager. My husband came back in to find out what the offer was and we were in conversation when the manager came and introduced himself to us. He turned his back to me to show my husband why the offer was as it was on a piece of paper. I turned to the salesman and asked him why the manager was talking to my husband and not to me. I also asked him if the manager knew it was MY Jeep he was talking about and if he knew that I was the buyer. After trying to get his attention, the manager seemed annoyed that I was talking while he was trying to explain to my husband the offer. I demanded my keys from the horrified salesman, who was extremely apologetic, but unable to produce my keys. I asked your arrogant manager Ben, if he was chauvinistic to all the ladies and he simply turned around and walked away. The salesman was then able to get my keys so we could leave. He took my phone number because he said that you were a Jeeper and would reach out to me with an apology. Your silence speaks volumes. It is clear that, as a woman, I am not welcomed at your dealership and that this behavior is completely tolerated, and maybe coached by your dealership. Kara Macsuga More
