Second lease with Hawthorne Chevrolet My husband had leased his 2018 equinox last year. I have always leased Toyotas and when my dealership was taken over by a large conglomerate I didn’t My husband had leased his 2018 equinox last year. Gary and Mike worked on my pricing and I didn’t feel like the it was shady. Gary was professional and even accomodated me by coming in on his day off for the initial meeting. This was appreciated as well as the personal service that Gary provided which made it feel Good to lease a vehicle again. More

My worst car buying / leasing experience - ever! After leasing our 2019 Equinox, we received a rather ironic "Completely Satisfied" request from our salesman ... I was so moved by the request that I After leasing our 2019 Equinox, we received a rather ironic "Completely Satisfied" request from our salesman ... I was so moved by the request that I took the time to fire off a two- page synopsis of the horrible experience we had to the stores General Sales Manager - Steve J Barna ... In my synopsis, I outlined all the instances in which the salesman's inexplicably absurd behavior left us dumbfounded ... We patiently awaited Mr. Barna's reply so that we could inform him of the complete facts and circumstances surrounding our bones of contention, only to receive the proverbial, "we always look to improve from customer feedback"... At no time did Mr. Barna request to know further details ... I immediately replied "Not Completely Satisfied" and never heard from Mr. Barna again ... In addition, on two occasions, I requested a meeting "to discuss the discount quotes made by the salesman that never materialized" ... I also wanted to discuss with them the "theft insurance" that we unwittingly signed up for ... Again, we never heard from the dealership ... It would seem that Mr. Barna takes these satisfaction surveys as seriously as his salespeople ... Buyer beware! More

Wouldn't recommend dealership My first experience with Hawthorne Chevrolet was for an oil change. I made an appt. a couple days beforehand went with my 2 small children and waited My first experience with Hawthorne Chevrolet was for an oil change. I made an appt. a couple days beforehand went with my 2 small children and waited for 2 hrs. I checked with the receptionist a couple times (after seeing ppl. that come in after me leave before me) and she wasn't able to give me an answer. My second experience was getting part of my exhaust replaced. I called on a Friday and they fit me in in the late afternoon and was told that they had to order a part and it would take about a week. Gave the service rep. my cell to contact me when part arrived and he called my house phone. Made an appt. the next Saturday and spoke with a couple diff. ppl. to make appt. and finally spoke with service rep. to find out how long it would take. When I arrived for appt. a diff. service rep. greeted me asking me what I was there for and if I had an appt. After 45 mins. of waiting (thinking they were working on my car) the service rep. told me that they didnt have the part and that it was backordered. I told him the service rep. that I spoke with called left me a message and I also spoke with him. After looking harder they found it. I also noticed that they don't make eye contact or look at you when communicating or speak to you using your name. I feel like I was just another customer and number. More
