Unprofessional. I took my car in due to a loss of pressure in the front tire. I had an appointment same day I called for 3:40. Turns out there are no techs available at that time because they all go pressure in the front tire. I had an appointment same day I called for 3:40. Turns out there are no techs available at that time because they all go home early. No loaners available either. I have had preformed my 20k service at this dealership and had to book 3 months in advance for a loaner. 24 hours later it was diagnosed that I had a puncture in the tread of my tire and they will not patch it because it’s “something they don’t do” but wanted me to buy a tire for $305. I took the wheel to an independent shop and it was determined through a soap test that the puncture was actually through the side wall and it would be $180 to replace. Audi San Diego was also kind enough to suggest I need new rotors after 30k miles for over $1200. Service is awful, and they try to upsell you at every chance they get. Take your business elsewhere. More

Dropped off vehicle for a routine oil change on a Tuesday, was told it would be a few days. Had I not needed it done before traveling for the holiday I would not have left it. We did not get car back Tuesday, was told it would be a few days. Had I not needed it done before traveling for the holiday I would not have left it. We did not get car back till Thursday late afternoon. When texted service advisor at 8:30am Thursday Morning for update- was texted back let me check with dispatch. Almost 3 hours later still no response and I texted him again for an updated and was told that it is in the shop being worked on. At 3:13pm was texted that car is ready for pick up but when arrived it was getting washed and we had to wait again. You should have never allowed for appointments if you did not have staff to perform work in a timely matter. Covid or not. Then charged 461$ for an OIL CHANGE are you kidding me. Never ever with I bring this car in for service. Outrageous- Terrible service and responsiveness by staff. Extremely disappointed! More

I had an appointment with a specific person which I came to find is meaningless. I was forced to wait in line behind people who had no appointment at all and also was told to just go to whomever was open w to find is meaningless. Next, I was getting a loaner and it took more than 10 minutes for someone to come to the loaner counter even though they were aware of the fact that there were at least 3 people waiting. Then, when I returned to get my car I was also waiting in line for a service person to take my money behind others who were dropping off their vehicles and picking them up....I was also texted as to what time I would be picking up my vehicle so that it would be ready and waiting for me....I gave them a time and was there at that time, and no surprise, my vehicle was not waiting for me. Why bother to ask???? My service person was ok(that is the only reason I rated it as a 2) but the rest of the overall experience was horrible. I have had much better service at lower end car dealers. I realize that Audi is not Porsche (which I have had in the past) but it should at least be on par with Lexus (which I have also had) and it wasn't even close. This was the most disorganized mess I have been involved in. More

I used the VIP pick up service. The Audi San Diego Staff that pickup and dropped off my car were very professional. The service performed on my Q5 was great. However, the communication between myself and th that pickup and dropped off my car were very professional. The service performed on my Q5 was great. However, the communication between myself and the service advisor was almost non-existent. My car was in for an oil change and tire rotation. My car was not returned to me until the next day. I was never told I would be without a vehicle for over 24 hrs. When I called to get updates on my car all I got was voice mail and my messages were never returned. Poor communication ruined my experience with your organization. More

Service Dept. could not help with failed smog check I failed the smog check with a permanent diagnostic trouble code (PDTC) in the vehicle's computer system. The service tech claimed it does not exist b I failed the smog check with a permanent diagnostic trouble code (PDTC) in the vehicle's computer system. The service tech claimed it does not exist because he does not see it with his expensive audi diagnostics equipment. I had the vehicle scanned by 3 independent techs afterwards and they all confirmed the PDTC is there. I finally found a knowledgeable VW tech sho confirmed that the Audi equipment doesn't show these codes and that they will only go away after the car's computer detects sufficient drive cycles to confirm the issue is resolved and then clears the code. I also learned that you can pass the smog check if the car completes 15 warm-up cycles and 200 miles since the last code clearing. I would have expected the experts at Audi to provide this information, but they seemed clueless about it. Note: George did his best to help me out. My complaint is with the service tech who doesn't seem to know the details... More
