I had an extremely disappointing experience attempting to purchase a BMW M850i from BMW Store Cincinnati. The vehicle was advertised as a Certified Pre Owned BMW, yet upon inspection it had multiple cosme purchase a BMW M850i from BMW Store Cincinnati. The vehicle was advertised as a Certified Pre Owned BMW, yet upon inspection it had multiple cosmetic defects, including noticeable dents and scratches that should have been addressed before being offered as a premium certified vehicle. When I brought these issues to the attention of the dealership, I was told they would not repair them prior to delivery. Because of the condition of the vehicle, I attempted to negotiate a reasonable adjustment to the price. I was not asking for anything unreasonable, only consideration for the damage that the dealership was unwilling to correct. Instead of working toward a solution, the dealership took a completely inflexible position. What made the experience even more frustrating was that after trying to negotiate in good faith, I was effectively told they would not sell me the vehicle. At no point was there any meaningful effort to address the condition concerns, discuss repairs, or reach a compromise. The attitude seemed to be that I should pay their asking price exactly as is, regardless of the vehicle’s condition, or walk away. My interactions with Hank, George, and Rich left me with the impression that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Rather than working to earn a customer’s business on a high end vehicle purchase, they appeared more interested in defending the asking price of a damaged vehicle and shutting down any discussion. Buying a luxury vehicle should be a professional and customer focused experience. Instead, I was met with indifference, unwillingness to address legitimate concerns, and ultimately a refusal to work with a serious buyer. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. From the salesperson to the sales manager to the general manager, I was met with arrogance, dismissiveness, and what I believe was a lack of transparency throughout the process. At no point did anyone seem interested in earning my business or addressing reasonable concerns about the vehicle’s condition. I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to inspect any vehicle carefully and make sure the dealership’s definition of Certified aligns with their own expectations before making a purchase decision. Buyer beware. More
