Zero successful services I had several tasks performed at Sands in 2015 before abandoning them entirely. They charged at least 60% more than my local independent mechanics (who, to be fair, do not offer "free" loaner cars). They introduced a chronic leak when changing drive train fluids; I brought it back three times but they were entirely unable to fix it. The third time, they tried to persuade me I had caused the leak myself by off-roading over rocks, despite the fact that I don't off-road. My local mechanic found and fixed the leak first time, which was on a completely different component than Sands claimed. Sands installed a new clutch that went bad within a year (the previous clutch lasted 16 years). They declined to fix it under warranty, claiming that a "nut, pin, and spring" had been removed from the clutch cable, presumably by another mechanic. My local mechanic informed me that there was no such hardware even involved in the clutch assembly, and performed a satisfactory repair. I'm sorry to have to say that I wouldn't recommend the Sands service department for any reason. More
