Landers McLarty DCJR appeared to be a well operated, clean and respectful of customers. We were allowed to test drive multiple vehicles. Dealing remains typical dealership tactic of offering a vehicle at a price, then later offering a more significant discount after apparent we would not purchase. The same sales technique was applied for a direct custom order request and after the first offered price was passed on by us as too high, we pursued other dealers in the Southeast region. After finding an offer of purchase at good discount, we reached out again for a revised offer from LM but did not receive a response in time before we decided on accepting an offer from. A dealership in another state. Even though we were not able to come to terms, the LM personnel were continually cordial and supportive to us. In the first case offer on a vehicle in stock, had we received the lowest pricing on our initial visit, it is highly likely we would have purchased that vehicle. In the second case with the custom order, we would have placed our order through LM had the initial pricing been the same as was later offered. More
