Don’t trust Castle Autoplex in McHenry. I never had a problem with Gary Lang. The work I had done lately at Castle seems to be okay with no problems to this date. They are however deceptive in that they over charged me in the amount of $840.00. To explain, I have Car Shield and I contacted them after paying a bill I thought was to high. I was advised by Car Shield that the person they talked to at Castle said all I had to pay for the repairs was my deductible. The Business Manager, JR Arnold lied to me stating he did not receive a message a week prior to call me. He also lied stating he did not know why I wanted him to call. Yet he knew the service person I dealt with. When talking to him explaining what Car Shield stated, he said he didn’t care what that said that they are a third party. Use caution when dealing with Castle Autoplex. They are not there for the customer, just to make as much money they can from you. More

I wish there was a zero-star rating. I asked for a quote to repair the rear power hatch for my 2013 GMC Terrain SLT. The door would open, bounce up and down a few times, and then close. I asked for a quote to repair the rear power hatch for my 2013 GMC Terrain SLT. The door would open, bounce up and down a few times, and then close. I was quoted $1,800.00 for the repair. When searching YouTube, I found that this repair was very very simple to install and parts were $17.00 at AutoZone. I previously had my battery replaced at a cost of $800.00 because the cables were corroded and previous to that, I was told my Lower Front Bushings needed to be replaced, confirmed by Firestone Complete Auto Care, and paid $2,400.00 at Castle. Calling today to confirm the quote from Firestone, they charge $700.00 for the job, including alignment. I have never felt so ripped off in my life and hope this review is read by all. I have nothing good to say about Castle Chevrolet Buick GMC McHenry and I will not visit them again, nor purchase a GMC in the future if this is the type of business they use to represent their product. More
