I did end up purchasing the vehicle, but the buying process raised concerns. Initially, a $2,500 paint protection package and a $500 VIN etch were presented as required for purchase, despite not being process raised concerns. Initially, a $2,500 paint protection package and a $500 VIN etch were presented as required for purchase, despite not being included in the advertised price online. I asked/refused 3 different times, in different ways, and each time they implied both were unable to be removed from the deal. Eventually, I was assured multiple times that both items would be removed, including on day of purchase when I called ahead to get a verbal assurance before driving over 3 hours roundtrip to the dealership. Despite this, the VIN etch still appeared on the final contract at signing. Although the finance manager corrected it once I pointed it out, it was concerning that a repeatedly rejected add-on made it back into the final deal. From further research, this is not the first time this has happened to potential customers of Russ Darrow Kia. However, I must mention that the vehicle itself is driving great! I just wish the buying process didn't include so much drama. More
