I had brought my Honda Hrv to Ames Honda Service Department for an issue regarding my vehicle pulling to the right when I drive. Only because in Des Moines their alignment machine was not up to date Department for an issue regarding my vehicle pulling to the right when I drive. Only because in Des Moines their alignment machine was not up to date for 2023 vehicles. I was told to check with Ames to get the alignment done since my vehicle is covered under Honda Warranty manufacture issue caused alignment problem. Ames service inspected it and said the right tires were over inflated which caused the problem. Well turns out that wasn’t it when I test drove my vehicle after they let out some air from tires. Brought it back and had the service advisor, Jeff, drive it. He assured my vehicle does not need an alignment and it’s normal. I know my vehicle does pull to the right as I drive it everyday, and I have another Honda vehicle that does not do that when I drive. I only brought it to Ames Honda because over the phone Alex mentioned they’re able to do the alignment vs the other dealerships does not have their alignment machine up to date for 2023. 45 min drive to Ames and it was not solved. After I got home from Ames, I reached out to corporate- they will send someone out this week to the local dealership in my area to get the alignment addressed/fixed. Meanwhile Ames can do the alignment but will not do it. It’s unbelievable they blame it on the tire pressure and says the car drives normally when in fact it does not. Not to mention they spelled my name wrong as “Amaly”. Drove 30 miles to Ames to leave the place unsatisfied. I’m not a car technician and just by driving my car, I know for a fact it pulls to the right and needs a alignment. I now understand why this place has so many negative reviews. More

Poor communication. Had to call to get updates. Did not listen to my concerns, I stated the battery did not need replaced as the battery tests taken by myself and roadsi Had to call to get updates. Did not listen to my concerns, I stated the battery did not need replaced as the battery tests taken by myself and roadside assistance were both good, vehicle had power but car would not crank at all. My starter was frozen. Advisor replaced my battery without my knowledge then stated the vehicle still did not start. Gave approval to leave vehicle over night for a further diag which is what I originally asked for, not a battery. Nothing needed to be done. They found out there was a bunch of frozen water under the hood that just needed to melt. When picking up my vehicle I asked for the battery test slip and they were unable to provide me with one. When expressing my concerns about poor service to my advisor he changed his story and stated the vehicle DID start up after replacing the battery and that the battery was also frozen. That’s not what I was originally told otherwise I would not have left my vehicle over night and gone without a car to get to work. More
