2010 Ford Focus Under Full Warranty, would not fix it I purchased a 2010Ford Focus last June from Chapman, I also purchased the Premium Warranty which covers any problems except for normal wear and tear f I purchased a 2010Ford Focus last June from Chapman, I also purchased the Premium Warranty which covers any problems except for normal wear and tear for 3 years. I had an oil change done at a garage across the street from me and asked them to also check why there is a strange smell coming from my vents. They ran a diagnostic and reported back that my E-cap core was either corroded or was leaking Frion into my car, causing the strong sickly-sweet odor. Since I had a full warranty, I made an appointment with Chapman service. My service writer, Jerry first off did not believe me when I said that I had a warranty on the car. He secondly did not understand that I had had a diagnostic already done and I knew specifically want I needed fixed. It wasn’t until the following day when I had a service tech call me and say “there’s nothing wrong with your air conditioner, it’s blowing cold air just fine” I explained over the phone that it was not a problem with the temperature, it was a problem with a chemical smell coming from the vents. The following Monday, Jerry calls back to inform me that they could not find anything wrong with the air conditioner and that they could use a chemical solution to “clean out the bacteria that has probably collected within the unit” and he also wanted to charge me for that cleaning solution. I told him, no don’t touch anything to the car I will pick it up and take it back to my original garage. When I came in to pick up the car and to drop my rental car off, Jerry acted like he did not remember who I was or that we had been playing phone tag for the entire day. He asked me to wait while he shuffled around papers and then asked me “are you here to to drop off or pick up” Overall my experience with Chapman has been very stressful and undermining the fact that I can tell a chemical odor from a bacteria odor. Go back to chemistry class everyone. I would never recommend anyone to take their car back to get serviced at Chapman, I will take my car to any other dealership from now on. Peace More

Nice new showroom! The overall experience was very positive. Getting a response via text (what I asked for from Chapman) was a little slow. Not putting blame on anyone. Perhaps the service writer for maintenance appointments is a little too busy? Anyway, the car was done sooner than expected. Everything done to the car was explained and was shown in black and white. Very typical of the service department at Chapman. The waiting area at the new location is quite comfortable. TV, receptacles to charge your phone were plentiful. Definitely a step up at this location. More

Overall good experience The people I worked with were all very knowledgeable and friendly, especially the lady who was working the late shift and whose name I think is Beth. The people I worked with were all very knowledgeable and friendly, especially the lady who was working the late shift and whose name I think is Beth. There was one significant negative issue. My car is a Ford Taurus. My son has a Ford Escape. After I scheduled my cars appointment I started receiving Email reminders that referred to my son's Escape and not my Taurus! More
