After a pretty miserable experience at Johnson Subaru of Cary (where my husband and I test drove both the Forester and Outback in a parking lot and we After a pretty miserable experience at Johnson Subaru of Cary (where my husband and I test drove both the Forester and Outback in a parking lot and were not taken terribly seriously by sales staff), the two of us decided to explore the possibility of a VW Jetta SW. We were greeted immediately, professionally and warmly by Jim Cochran (wearing a dashing tie-dye shirt, might I add), and that set the tone for what honestly could not have been a better car purchasing experience. My husband and I were pretty sure going in that we wanted a Subaru Forester, but had heard good things about Jetta SW, so decided to check it out. We did not at the time expect to be making a car purchase -- we honestly didn't expect to spend more than 30 minutes at Leith. However, after being escorted on very thorough and informative test drives of both the VW JSW and VW JSW TDI we were pretty in love with the car, and we knew we were in reliable, honest and attentive hands with Jim Cochran. The approach with Jim (and Eric in finance), and possibly across the dealership although we can only speak to our experiences with these two guys, is very customer-focused and is based around "finding the right car and the right deal" for the customer's life and circumstances. We never felt pressured, we never felt "tricked", we honestly felt we could be pretty transparent and not be taken advantage of in any way. We highly recommend Leith VW of Cary, Jim in sales and Eric in finance, and from what we've experienced (in one evening of driving) the Jetta SW TDI -- great car, great experience. Thank you! More

From the moment we arrived at the d My wife and I had one of the best sales experiences with a Car Dealership ever and it was because of Jim Cochran. From the moment we arrived at the dealership he displayed a confident warmth that made us feel at ease. Never did we feel the high pressured sales pitch we encountered at other dealerships. He was knowledgeable of the product being sold - in this case a Diesel Jetta TDI. He carefully explained all of the features and was never in a hurry. He knew we were only looking but because of his presentation we purchased the car. Originally we were leaning toward purchasing a Honda Civic, a car that we have been extremely satisfied with through the years, but Jim's presentation of the Jetta and its features convinced me that this car was in my future. As a United Methodist Minister I do a lot of driving, and comfort, as well as cost, is important to me, and Jim demonstrated how the Jetta would meet both of these criteria. I a m happy to say that out the door my average mileage is 41 mpg, and what a comfortable ride. All of the staff we encountered at Leith Volkswagen were very helpful, but we purchased the car because of Jim's special attention to detail. Thank you Jim, we will recommend you to our friends. Rev.
