New car owner Not only did jt Bradley our salesman get us in one vehicle we got put in two vehicles... Every employee was super friendly!! And Jim went over and beyond the limit to get both our vehicle deals worked out!!! Amazingly experience highly recommend them and will definitely shop with them again!! Only recommendations is a more kid friendly room with some toys!!! More

ON MARCH 8, 2014 WE PURCHASED A 2014 HONDA CRV FROM JOHN HOWERTON HONDA IN BECKLEY WV. PJ HAMBRICK CONTACTED US REGARDING AN EMAIL THAT WE SENT INQUIRING ABOUT THE CRV, HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL HOWERTON HONDA IN BECKLEY WV. PJ HAMBRICK CONTACTED US REGARDING AN EMAIL THAT WE SENT INQUIRING ABOUT THE CRV, HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL IN HELPING US MAKE OUR DECISION IN WHICH MODEL WE WANTED . TRACY SIMMS WAS THE SALES PERSON AND SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ANSWERED EVERY QUESTION WE HAD. SHE WAS VERY GOOD ON HELPING US SET EVERYTHING UP IN THE VEHICLE AS WELL. WE COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER SALES PERSON. JIM COPENHAVER WHICH IS THE SALES MANAGER WAS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING US WITH FIGURES AND OUR TRADE IN. HE WAS VERY GOOD AT WORKING WITH US ON THE AMOUNT THAT WE WANTED TO PAY FOR THE CRV AND THE AMOUNT THAT WE WANTED ON OUR TRADE-IN. FELICIA GORRELL WORKED WITH US IN FINANCE ON GETTING ALL OF THE PAPER WORK DONE AND HELPED US CHOOSE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT WE NEEDED THERE WAS NO SURPRISES, EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. . JIM WAY IN SERVICE INSTALLED THE ADDITIONAL PACKAGE THAT WE PURCHASED EXACTLY AS IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AND WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH JOHN HOWERTON HONDA WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!! WE HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST 3 PHONE CALLS FROM EVERYONE CHECKING TO SEE IF WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE CAR AND EVERYTHING IS OK, THIS HAS TO BE THE SMOOTHEST TRANSACTION IN BUYING A CAR WE HAVE HAD, IF YOU WANT TO BUY A CAR WITHOUT ALL THE DRAMA GO TO JOHN HOWERTON. I went to the dealership with all intent of buying a new car because of the current specials that Honda was advertising. I owned a 2011 CRV and wanted to upgrade to a 2014 CRV. My experience was good everyo car because of the current specials that Honda was advertising. I owned a 2011 CRV and wanted to upgrade to a 2014 CRV. My experience was good everyone there was and is very nice group. Jim C. and Janie assisted me the evening that I purchased my new car, Jim & Felicia finished two days later when we returned to pick up the new vechile. I went a little bit over my budget however over all I would return to the dealership again. More

Everyone was nice and willing to work with us on our deal. Jim Copenhaver was able to find the spare key for me, which was great. Everywhere else that we have dealt with in buying a used car does fill the gas tank up. Overall had a good experience. More

My experience at John Howerton Honda was wonderful. Jason and Jim worked hard to get me a very nice vehicle that was within my budget. It didn't quite work out but I am not giving up. They were super nice to and Jim worked hard to get me a very nice vehicle that was within my budget. It didn't quite work out but I am not giving up. They were super nice to me especially after I told them about a not so great experience with another dealer down the road. I hope/plan to return to John Howerton Honda as soon as I am able to work out the kinks with the financial issues. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. More

Howerton Honda was the only place to shop when looking for my daughter a quality vehicle that would hold it's value. Jim Copenhaver was one of the employees that I met with the first time I came in. Salesman was nice, not very knowledgeable of product, they were texting during test drive, but that was ok. When came to negotiating everything went south. Offered very low trade value, but that was jus they were texting during test drive, but that was ok. When came to negotiating everything went south. Offered very low trade value, but that was just the start. When we were dealing with the salesman, told him I just wanted to value my trade, but he continued to fill out the credit application despite my objections. Finally told him I did not want my credit ran until we found a price for my trade and the prospective purchase. He informed me he had to fill out a few forms to do that. He continued to fill out paperwork and I told him I just wanted to see the value of my trade first and he finally went to get his sales manager. This is when it really went south. They offered a really low trade value and I informed them this would not work. They seemed offended that I did not take their offer. They asked what could they do, to make the offer work. When I told them it would not work today, the sales manager was very adamant that I would. After some back and forth, I told them I was done negotiating and wanted the keys to my vehicle. The sales manager went to the sales office and came back without my keys, I asked where my keys were and he continued to ask me what he could do to make me buy his vehicle. Long story short, I asked for my keys several times but he would not return my keys, I asked politely, and then aggressively, to return my keys. I was basically held hostage at this dealership for a while. I finally had to threaten to call the police to get my keys back. The owner, John Howerton was in the sales office during the last portion of our exchange and allowed his sales manager to treat me this way. They were insistent that I was going to buy their vehicle. To end this review I would say I will NEVER set foot on their lot again, and I will tell everyone who mentions this dealer what my experience was with them. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Avoid this dealership at all cost. More

I bought a Jeep Commander from this lot and they never cleaned it as well as it has been broke down in my driveway since I bought it. I asked to speek with Mr. Howerton and they told me I will recieve a c cleaned it as well as it has been broke down in my driveway since I bought it. I asked to speek with Mr. Howerton and they told me I will recieve a call back from him, a few minutes later I recieved a call from a man that stated he was his son. He was very rude and didnt care about my issues! Later that day my friend that works at the lot next door called and asked to speek to Mr. Howerton, she spoke with him and told him his son was very rude to me and he stated he does not have a son... he also stated he had no idea of my problems!!! To this day I call and call to speek with Dan and never get a return call from him!!I I am now not able to take my newborn to doctor visits nor the grocery store... I sunk all my money into this vehicle and now I have a lemmon!! They dont care and I wouldnt recommend them to my worse enemy! More
