We were looking to buy a car in Missouri for my elderly Mother-in-Law. I live in Virginia and talked with Jim McCormick several times prior to coming to the dealership in Ballwin. Jim had the car that we were looking to test drive washed and prepared for our arrival and it was parked right in front of the sales office. Jim took the time to show my Mother-in-Law the different adjustments for the seat, mirrors etc... Very understanding of the situation and worked to make it a comfortable environment for all of us. The purchase of the car went smoothly and we have been very happy with the car. Not only was Jim McCormick very helpful when we were buying the car, but the car's registration needed to be renewed and he was helpful with that process as well. Again, I live in Virginia and the car registration process makes my Mother-in-Law very nervous. Jim helped out tremendously by having the car picked up from her home, inspected, confirmed that the renewal paperwork was completed and placed the correct stickers on the license plate and then had the car returned to her house. Great customer service to assist a customer with an intimidating process, alleviating a lot of stress for her and us back here in Virginia. If I plan on buying a Chevrolet or Cadillac in the future, I am certain that I would strongly consider flying out to see my Mother-in-Law, buy a car and drive it back to Virginia. I had gone into Elco the week prior to purchase a new Cadillac srx. The gentleman I dealt with did not seem to care if I bought a car or not. When he looked at his watch I knew I did not want to give him Cadillac srx. The gentleman I dealt with did not seem to care if I bought a car or not. When he looked at his watch I knew I did not want to give him my business. I walked out frustrated and disappointed. Elco has the largest selection left of 2011 srxs, but I was torn. I really wanted a srx but I didn't want to deal with that gentleman again. My brother-n-law recommended Jim McCormack. Instantly after meeting him I felt comfortable. He seemed to care about us and wanted us to have a great experience to make up for my original experience at Elco. Even though he was not part of the new car sales team he helped us with our new car purchase. His selling approach is not pushy, arrogant, or fake. I left elco in my srx with a big smile on my face because of Jim. My sister is so impressed with my srx and of how highly I speak of Jim that she is talking about buying a srx from him. People make the difference. Because of one gentleman I was going to write off Elco, and because of Jim I got to see how nice everyone really is at Elco. They have now gained a customer for life. Awesome experience...from start to finish!! My family and I have purchased cars from Elco for more than 20 years...back to when it was Don Essen Chevrolet. Each and every time, it was a great experience with I have purchased cars from Elco for more than 20 years...back to when it was Don Essen Chevrolet. Each and every time, it was a great experience with high quality vehicles. This time was no different. I started with the internet this time, looking on Elco's website, and found exactly what I had in mind in their inventory....chatted with Jim on-line with a few questions...that were answered completely and professionally. I gave J.T. a call early in the morning of the next day to see if he was going to be in that day...without hesitation, he said "yes...and when is a good time for you?" He came in on HIS DAY OFF to meet with us about this particular van!! Talk about going above and beyond!! From start to finish, J.T. was nothing but kind, courtious and professional! He went out of his way to make sure we were looking at what we wanted and needed....and best of all...no pressure. As usual, purchasing a car from Elco was a wonderful experience. J.T. did not try to sell us anything that we did not need BUT made sure we had everything that we DID need!! That speaks volumes!! He explained EVERYTHING in great detail and was very professional in every way. He even made sure that we had new headphones and remote for the DVD player for the kids!!! WOW!! I brought to J.T.'s attention that there was a small issue with the key remote. Within 10 minutes, he had the problem in hand and sent us over to the service dept. to get it fixed. We were out of there, with the problem solved, in a little over an hour. By the time we got to talk with Andy, in the finance dept., we were pretty pleased with our experience. Andy made it just that much better. Once again, nothing but the best!! He made sure that we had everything we needed, but nothing that we didn't need. Professional, courtious and personable don't even begin to describe our experience with Andy. What a class-act Elco is! Would highly recommend this company! More
