Born and raised in St. Louis, a Mehlville H.S. graduate. I have a daughter and a step-daughter, and I'm a fan of all St. Louis sports and English Premier League soccer, particularly Tottenham Hotspur. Like any true Cardinals fan I also enjoy giving my wife grief for being a Cubs fan. Outside of work you can find me spending time with my family, remodeling our house, or playing golf. Jim Wagstaff is the Car Salesman who assisted me. Jim is very genuine, calm, joyful, and easy to talk to, He was never pushy like some other salesmen who I had met at other dealerships. Jim made this experience smooth and easy. I was so excited to see the car and I can tell that he was excited right along with me. He and I took it for a test ride and a few days later, I purchased the vehicle. It's been 6 months now and I still love my car! I am still happy with my purchase. Great Experience! I found a car on Auto Trader online and a little chat box popped up. I asked the girl if the car was still available. She asked me to hang on while sh I found a car on Auto Trader online and a little chat box popped up. I asked the girl if the car was still available. She asked me to hang on while she checked. She came right back and said that it was! I hopped in my old clunker and drove down to the dealership. That car ended up being out of the monthly price range that I wanted to be in. I'll be honest, I left there kind of disappointed. Two days later I got a call saying they had a car with almost all of the option that I wanted that was within my range. I went straight there to test drive it. It was only missing two of the options that I was hoping for, but they weren't deal breakers. Other than that I LOVED the car and even more I loved the price! I also feel they gave me a more than fair deal on my trade-in. I was car shopping for 5 days straight. I visited several dealerships and worked with a lot of different sales people. Out of ALL of them, Sunset Ford was the ONLY one who didn't try to put me in something that I didn't want just to sell me a car that was in my price range! Instead they FOUND the right car in my price range. Literally, the only dealership out of many who took the time to do that. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I purchased pre-owned and there were two minor things I wanted spruced up on the car and they agreed to do it without hesitation. When I trade this car in for the fully loaded version, I'll definitely go back to Sunset Ford! No pressure, no pushy salesperson, no anxiety of having to repeatedly say no over the same car. Impressive in every way First, you should know - I hate buying cars. The drama, the games, the whole process. And I just moved here and had no history with any dealership, no recommendations to go by. So when I saw a Pontiac with low miles and knew I had to have it, I wasn't relishing having to make the actual deal. Lucky for me, turned out the car was at Sunset Ford and it was the easiest purchase I ever made. Jim Wagstaff was a total joy to work with! He made everything simple, starting with a really decent test drive (not the two-mile around the block kind), answered all my questions, and got me the trade-in price I wanted. Sunset offers a lifetime warranty on engine/powertrain/transmission, something I've never seen any dealership offer. As a passionate fan of Pontiac (this is my 4th) I couldn't be happier.to make this deal! Thank you, Jim!! Now on to finance. I was pre-qualified by my bank but their process was slow because of the holiday weekend. Jim took me to Jason in Sunset's finance dept. and he was able to beat the bank's interest rate by .5%. He offered me options on extended warranties (there were a few to choose from) and explained each. No pressure, no telling horror stories of what's going to happen if you don't have it, etc. Just straight business and again, a real pleasure to work with. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I know this is long but there's more to tell. I had a piece of trim come loose after picking the car up yesterday, took it back this morning and Jim and Perry had it taken care of quickly, no hassle. Late this afternoon I got a call from the finance manager, Treff, and he tells me he's found an even better interest rate, would I like to stop back and redo the paperwork to take advantage? WHO DOES THAT?? LOL Of course, I went back and Jason and Treff did the paperwork and now I'm saving a full point on interest over the life of the loan. That is truly taking care of the customer. I have never had an experience like this buying a car and I will never go anywhere else in the future. I recommend anyone looking for a car to go and talk to Jim and the Sunset team. THANKS, GENTLEMEN! PS Jason even called me after I left to let me know the time of the Cards game tomorrow had changed from 12:05 to 6:15. How nice is that? And the tickets? I put my business card in their drawing box and won 2 seats behind home plate with valet parking pass. Cards fans will understand it's like winning the lottery! Sunset, you've made my weekend! More
