Phillip’s responded that although when negotiating deal I was buying vehicle months ahead of my coming to Florida they would deliver vehicle to my home. That is where it was stored from drop off until I arrived in Florida in early Feb. Absolute first time in it since negotiating this deal was early Feb, I reached out immediately while still in vehicle the first time to notify of Transmission concern, After moving vehicle less than 3 House lengths. Was told there’s nothing wrong but if you Want take it to our Toyota Store for confirmation which I did immediately. These folks (Shop Foreman/Tech) at Phillips Toyota did confirm my concern and said Transmission would need to be replaced. As of this moment Mar 9 , 2026 I still do not have possession of the vehicle purchased in Dec. . Vehicle was returned immediately to Phillip’s where it sits with No ETA on making it right. Was told by Brian Baker to wait until ……. Or accept $6300 less than was handed over in return to accept vehicle back. A Vehicle that was not as described ! Was described as an inspected certified vehicle. 2 of Phillips own certified Toyota Techs disputed that this was correct just by stating Transmission would require replacement. No Transmission available, No ETA on when I will receive the car that was advertised or received., So far 4 months since purchase and over a month since arriving in Florida to use the vehicle I purchased but to date have no use of. I truly feel duped by misrepresented advertised vehicle. Not only my opinion but verified by Phillips own Toyota Techs. This condition wasn’t created by my simply starting the car., This was a Pre Existing issue, Who knows maybe why it was traded by previous owner.
