Hi Me. Barrows, I appreciate your response to my situation. I have to say this may be the worst I’ve felt after making a “new car purchase. I know the I should have followed the advice to always buy a vehicle in the light of day, but I felt confident that a loaner truck with less than 4000 miles on it would be like New once it was detailed. I made the deal on a Thursday night, and explained that I’d pick it up the following Saturday morning which I was told was no problem. It was literally pitch dark out when the guy showed me how to set up on star and use other features. We parked the truck and I left. On Saturday, my wife and I looked over the truck and found the back of the truck full of pet hair, and a ding in the door. Marc was responsive and apologized for the condition of the truck. He even used a lint brush to clean up most of the pet hair. He filled out a “we owe” to fix the door, and completely detail the truck. He said I should bring it in the next week which put me at ease and I made plans to bring it in Monday. The service department call and said that I should make an appoint for a week later than that. This put me outside of your return policy I believe of 7 days. Still I believed you were dealing with me in good faith so I waited to bring the truck in. I feel I got blamed for not pointing out the dent on the day of purchase based on a voice mail received from Marc who said he was passing on the message from the Chevy manager. He also said the body shop recommended a touch up, which was contrary to my conversation with the body shop. The detailing never happened either by the way. I have a bad feeling that this truck was not treated well while it was loaned out. The dent and pet hair as well a good deal of mud coming out of the vehicle after I washed it myself. Ideally I’d like to exchange the truck for one I feel more confident was treated normally while it was loaned out. If that’s not feasible I’m interested in hearing other suggestions.
