John was very responsive and helpful. Service was completed ahead of schedule and as expected. Some items were corrected without being asked which was a nice surprise. Only reason for a 4 for price was because no one wants to spend over $4000 to replace an engine. John did you proud considering a difficult pill to swallow for repair costs. Poor quality of service experienced, after having bought a 2013 Passat TDI SEL the day before! I returned to the dealership the next day because 1 of 2 keys I've been issued was defective. They had me wait a 2013 Passat TDI SEL the day before! I returned to the dealership the next day because 1 of 2 keys I've been issued was defective. They had me wait for 2 hours while they "looked into it" just to come back to tell me, "yes, this is a bad key". Extremely disappointed with the service department which unfortunately made me wish I didn't buy from this dealership in the first place. To waste my time with something as simple as letting me know something is not working when they issued me the defective key in the first place is a poor reflection of their service and really screams INCOMPETENT for a dealership that sells a high end product. Imagine, watching 6 other customers walk-in and walk-out while you're patiently waiting and in the end have nothing to show for your visit but a "we'll order a new one, it will be here in a few days, you can come pick it up". A waste of time and poor reflection of Volkswagen as a whole! Would like to be contacted in regards to this visit from the dealership. More

Last visit was for routine oil change & replacement of bulbs & windshield wipers. Service was quick & professional. I purchased my 2005 GTI at Carolina Volkswagen. I received very good service from the service team there until they left the dealership. I received an email from Volkswagen of South Charlotte and received very good service from the service team there until they left the dealership. I received an email from Volkswagen of South Charlotte and noted that the service team I had worked with at Carolina Volkswagen was now at Volkswagen of South Charlotte. I now have my car serviced at Volkswagen of South Charlotte (even though it is a longer drive from my home) because of the excellent service I receive there. They listen closely when I explain what my service needs are, they examine the car closely and bring to my attention anything that needs to be serviced, they explain clearly what those service needs are (meaning they take me into the service area and show me what needs to be done), and they keep me updated while I wait for the service to be completed. Note: I can explain in detail what my service issue is with Carolina Volkswagen if interested. More

They fixed a problem another car dealership couldn't find. I had taken my son's car to another car place to replace bulb. The VW place on South found problem and fixed in 30 minutes. More

The turn signals on my Jetta quit blinking so I made an appointment to bring it in. The online scheduler was very easy to use and I got an appointment that day. I had never brought my vehicle to this dealership before and did not know what to expect. It was a Volkswagen dealership though so I wasn't worried. John Schmidt assisted me. Schmidt was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Schmidt handled my car while I waited in the waiting area. The waiting area was clean and I loved the free wifi. The dealership repaired my vehicle fairly quickly and washed my car. That was nice, as I hadn't washed my car in months. My issue also turned out to be a recalled item so the service was completely free. I have told pretty much everyone I know how awesome the service was at the dealership. More

John Schmidt was a delight to work with. He was friendly and extremely helpful as well as diplomatic to someone who had neglected to service their car properly -- me! I was in yesterday for routine service. Lauren really worked with me to find a good time for me to bring my car in. She was always very responsive.
