Went to visit my parents on Friday my dad says to me...hey come with me, VW South Charlotte is coming to pick me up so that I can go get my car out of service. We get in the car and we start driving me...hey come with me, VW South Charlotte is coming to pick me up so that I can go get my car out of service. We get in the car and we start driving to VW South Charlotte. On our way there the driver was playing hard core rap. Music dropping F bombs left and right one of the lyrics mention I’m gonna pee all over your body, all we heard the entire way there was the N-word F bombs you name it we heard it. Don’t believe me I post it our video experience on social media. The response was typical of this place. Couldn’t wait to get out of the car with this driver. Maybe times of changed I don’t know I personally think it’s unacceptable and being in the business I would hate for my customers to experience this type of service. More

Adam In service went above and beyond to make sure my towed in vehicle was in good hands. Fortunately Drew my finance manager had made sure I made the right decision during financing by purchasing Gap insurance (something I would have typically declined without the guidance of an experienced professional). With the VW Gap plus insurance I was able to receive a $1,000 down payment on a new vehicle. Automobile accidents are stressful and I was extremely nervous about adding the purchase of a new vehicle to what I already had on my plate. But my sales representative Clovis and his teammates made it an extremely positive and enjoyable experience. They were all extremely patient and helpful, never put pressure on me to make any decisions I was not comfortable with. This is my third time financing a vehicle with Volkswagen of South Charlotte. I find the staff is very trustworthy and credible which is important when dealing with finances or the safety of a vehicle. They are a top of the notch dealership with superb service, great bagels and coffee ! More

Thousands for timing chain, even after being sued Millions of customers are being bilked out of thousands for KNOWN timing chain issues in ALL VW and Audi models since at least 2008. Volkswagen has ha Millions of customers are being bilked out of thousands for KNOWN timing chain issues in ALL VW and Audi models since at least 2008. Volkswagen has had a known timing chain issue where the tensioner loosens up and allows the timing chain to slip, ruining engines for VW and Audis. There was a class action lawsuit that VW/Audi lost but they did not admit faulty issues with all years. So, now they are finding that years in between the ones covered on the suit and after the ones covered on the suit are having the same issues and South Charlotte Volkswagen is quoting several thousands of dollars in repairs on timing chain issue for cars that are less than 100,000 miles, even though the suggested FIRST MAINTENANCE for timing chains is 105,000 to 110,000 miles. They are knowingly bilking customers out of thousands of dollars for an issue that they have known about for ten years and refused to fix. They have told us that our car either needs to have $2,121.92 of parts and $1,800 in labor or should be towed to another location. IT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE DRIVEN. It is a 2015, purchased new and suggested timing chain maintenance followed. And, we have been told IT IS NOT DRIVABLE unless we cough up over $3,000. MIND YOU, these issues were all know at the same time that VOLKWAGEN was completely aware of the TDI/DIESEL issue as well and that also cost them millions. Great new car buying experience What originally attracted me to VW of South Charlotte was the service department. My wife and I also own a 2007 VW Jetta. This car has needed variou What originally attracted me to VW of South Charlotte was the service department. My wife and I also own a 2007 VW Jetta. This car has needed various service items over the past four years since moving to the Carolina's. John Schmidt has been very detailed, patient and fair assessing the repair needs of our older VW. When it came time to purchase a new car for my wife, I knew where we would purchase. In my initial new car search, I met Spiros Dedis. I did not purchase initially, but Spiros followed up with me via email in a kind, courteous manner. I like the fact that he was persistent in providing me with the information I required to make a Todd buying decision, but did NOT provide undue pressure to buy. We went back to the dealership on 3-30-14 to purchase and Spiros was busy with four other customers. He was able to pass us over to another salesman named J. Wallace. Mr. Wallace was extremely helpful, accommodating and professional. My wife and I both appreciated his humorous and approachable demeanor. All in all, this was a quick and painless buying experience. We met and were greeted by the Sales Manager, Moe Asmar who should be proud to have such an excellent and qualified sales force at his disposal.
