The compressor on my Honda locked up. I'm a HVAC mech so I knew what was wrong. The service advisor told me I to pay the $100+ diagnostic charge. He told me they found my compressor was I'm a HVAC mech so I knew what was wrong. The service advisor told me I to pay the $100+ diagnostic charge. He told me they found my compressor was locked up and needed a new one. After the was replaced the next day I had no AC. I made another appointment. He called to say they need to purge my system. A few hours later he called to ask if I had any problems with my power steering I told him "Never". He said that while my car was up on the lift they discovered that my power steering pump was 'shot' and I needed a new one. It had mysteriously gone bad while on the lift. I paid for a new one. After that was replaced I still had no AC. Another visit I told him that my power steering reservoir oil was bouncing when the car was running. He said that was normal. He said I now needed a new condenser coil for my AC. because it was clogged and they could not back flush it. I paid for a new on.e After $3200 my A/C was finally working again. 3 weeks later my pump started to growl and the steering fluid bubble out of the top. I made an appointment and after they checked they said they could not find anything. To bring it in the next time it did it. A few days later it did the same thing. I didn't turn it off and took it to Honda. My regular advisor was not there so I talked to another one. After they checked my car they said the Return pump hose had a leak in the rubber to metal crimp connection. Since it wasn't like that when I brought it in it would be replaced under warranty and no charges. He said he would have to order that hose and he would call me when it was in. When I went to leave I got almost to Cypress Blvd and had no brakes. I limped back to the service bay using the emergency brake. The advisor told me that he thought that my peddle seemed little soft when he pulled it around. He went out and found my brake fluid cup was almost empty. He added fluid and before he could get in and press on my pedal the fluid was on the ground. He looked under the car and said my metal brake lines were leaking. I told him I had no problem when I got there. Another mystery. I said that something must have happened coming out of the service bay or when they took it in. If there was oil in the bay it happened after they took it in. If not then it happened when they took it out and no one said anything about it. The advisor didn't say anything until I almost had gotten onto the highway. I waited inside for the service department to look at it. They said that is was just a coincidence that my line burst as I was leaving the dealership. They had to order new lines. They took me home again and later when he called he told me it would be $2,300 to replace my brake lines. Instead of snaking the old and new lines in and out they would have to drop my Rack and Pinion to replace the lines. That would take another day to order and make the repair. He also said that they would charge me to replace the power steering hose after the precious advisor told me there would be no charge. I'm still waiting for a decision on that and for them to let me know when my car is done after my 5th visit. As long as nothing else mysteriously breaks down I'll only need to check my power steering pump once a week and be very careful every time I come to a red light to be sure I am able to stop. More

Had 5 maintenance lights come on all at once when I was in Winter Haven last week. I figured there was no better sign than this to stop and get my Honda Pilot checked out. Pulled in to Winter Haven Honda in Winter Haven last week. I figured there was no better sign than this to stop and get my Honda Pilot checked out. Pulled in to Winter Haven Honda around 3 pm and was greeted by John Tyler, their General Sales Manager. He got me right over to one of their service advisors, Fabian Tirado. He was outstanding to work with from start to finish. It was no problem to get me in without an appointment and he quickly shared with me what each of the service lights meant and exactly what it would cost me to get everything fixed. He also identified several open recalls and assured me that they could get them taken care of within a few hours, too. Their customer lounge was a great spot. Lots of complimentary drinks and snacks and they even had a private area where I could knock some work out while I waited. Fabian kept me up to date as my vehicle moved through the steps and they were able to get me back on the road in under 2 hours. Pretty impressive for an improptu stop with no appointment. NOTE: I have made appointments at other dealerships in the past for just a simple oil change and had to wait for hours for them to complete the work, so this was a welcome surprise. Thanks again Fabian and the Winter Haven Honda Service Team. Outstanding Job!!! More

I have always taken my Honda CR-V to the Honda in winter haven and the last time I had it changed again their mechanic there forgot to replace my seal that goes with my oil filter? Therefore I was leaking o haven and the last time I had it changed again their mechanic there forgot to replace my seal that goes with my oil filter? Therefore I was leaking oil after a week or two? I wish I had kept my receipt to know who worked on it ! But just be careful you never know if they do this intentionally to make money off you by forcing you to go back and letting them care for it when it was them who messed it up from the get go!!!!!! 👎👎👎 More

Worst Dealership Experience Purchased 2015 Honda from Winter Haven Honda in 2017 with and the finance department talked me into purchasing an extended warranty. This was a huge Purchased 2015 Honda from Winter Haven Honda in 2017 with and the finance department talked me into purchasing an extended warranty. This was a huge mistake because when I sold the paid off vehicle two years later, I was told by the warranty company that it would need to be canceled by the dealership. Submitted odometer statement to the Finance manager and he never submitted the odometer statement to the warranty company for the cancellation. I called the store manager who did not return my call until months after I attempted to cancel the policy directly through the warranty company. The vehicle was sold in January 2020, the cancellation request was submitted in February 2020 and it is now May 2020 and the warranty policy still has not been cancelled nor have I received a refund. I would never purchase a vehicle from Winter Haven Honda again and nor should you. More
