We were negotiating when the Assistant Sales Manager, Kentucky, offered to include running boards. We left not buying the truck and spent the next few days to thing about the purchase. We went back to buy the vehicle and he reneged on the running boards. Will not recommend this dealership to friends and family. More

Fraud and unfair and deceptive I don’t even know where to start this dealership if I could give them negative stars I would. Fraud and unfair and deceptive trade practices. Making a I don’t even know where to start this dealership if I could give them negative stars I would. Fraud and unfair and deceptive trade practices. Making a false statement to induce you to buy the vehicle. I arrived at the dealership 5 months ago to purchase a new Ford F150 trading in my Escape. Excited we had gotten a new to us 2008 travel trailer weighing 8,500 lbs so I knew I wanted an F150 to tow it. I was greeted by a new salesman Wes I explained to him what we needed and how much we would be towing and at some point would be upgrading to a trailer we had found weighing 11,000 lbs. So off we went to check out trucks in their lot and arrived at a truck as we were reassured would tow and had the max tow package at 12,700. Perfect just what we needed we thought and signed away. So turns out Wes was new we were his first sale and probably only sale he had at the dealership. Wes had no clue and now my guess is no training on Ford products or had a clue what tow capacity even was. Now 5 months in we go camping and notice the truck is having issues while pulling the trailer. Turns out the truck we were sold tow capacity is 7,700 if your lucky. We are in complete shock as we stand in the dealership being told this. So now we are being told basically they can’t do anything for us and we are stuck with a useless truck and a travel trailer we will not be able to ever use. More

Great experience When I take my Ford Explorer in for service at Folsom Lake Ford, I know that I will be welcomed by friendly faces and that I will get the best service When I take my Ford Explorer in for service at Folsom Lake Ford, I know that I will be welcomed by friendly faces and that I will get the best service! "K" in service, is so awesome! Really everyone is terrific! I always use the shuttle service so I can go home or work, the gym, one time I had the driver drop me off at the movie theatre! The drivers are super friendly and call you to let you know they are on the way to pick you up. At Folsom Lake Ford, they respect your time too, trying to get you back in your car quickly and on your way! More

Though we weren't quite ready to pull the trigger at that point, we did request to work with Shane when we visited the Folsom Lake Ford in person. Both Shane and Rene Larsen were extremely helpful in making sure that we had all of our questions answered and that the car buying experience went as smoothly as possible. They were both great in following up on our new truck as it was getting aftermarket accessories put on before we brought it home. This was a very good experience overall! Thank you Shane and Rene!! Stay away from Folsom Lake Ford From my short experience owning a 2016 Ford Transit Fords are not manufactured well. Their “bumper to bumper” warranty is not as advertised as Ford is From my short experience owning a 2016 Ford Transit Fords are not manufactured well. Their “bumper to bumper” warranty is not as advertised as Ford is in to the business of denying claims for no good reason. I have brought my vehicle to Folsom Lake Ford multiple times for warranty work and have had a problem every time. I had to push back the first time I brought it in when they said that Fords make a noise when backing up and there isn’t anything out of the ordinary. So when you hear a braking squealing noise as a ford vehicle backs up know that it’s approved by Ford to sound that way. The next problem was a shroud that came lose on my rear view mirror. I brought my van in describing the problem and they had the van for an entire day and called me back to once again say they were going to do nothing to fix the issue and that Ford claims had denied the replacement due to an “outside source” causing the issue. Now they couldn’t tell me what force caused the issue or why but they did let me know that they were not interested in honoring their bumper to bumper warranty. But it doesn’t stop here, after getting my van home from a wasted day at Folsom Lake Ford service I noticed a fresh new chip in the paint on the hood. The same type of chip that would be seen if a hood was hit by a tool while being worked on. I know this much, and outside source did cause the chip and I have proof of repairing all chips before I brought it in for service. But just like Ford can’t prove that the broken shroud was outside of mechanical failure I can’t prove that the chip happened at Folsom Lake Ford. After sharing my experience with Jon Peterson via email after leaving my first review he basically told me to bring my Van elsewhere and that my service problems weren’t his fault as I didn’t purchase the vehicle from him. So who knows, maybe the level of service goes up for customers that purchase th vehicle from Jon but one thing is for certain, that shouldn’t be the case regardless. Save yourself the hassle and find a respectable dealer to work with. More
