The BMW experience was ruined by BMW San Luis Obispo My wife and I are San Luis Obispo County locals and first-time car buyers, we trusted BMW San Luis Obispo for our first-time car purchase and we were My wife and I are San Luis Obispo County locals and first-time car buyers, we trusted BMW San Luis Obispo for our first-time car purchase and we were taken advantage. Our advice: 1.- Ask for the final price of the vehicle, including taxes and fees, and work yourself down. 2.- Don't fill up or sign any forms or provide any personal information until they reveal the real final price that includes taxes and fees. 3.- Review their website for the listed prices 4.- Save any price quote, for some reason their sales manager did not want us to keep the price quotes or compare them one to another. 5.- Be firm when you say NO, take all the information and review it a home with no pressure. 6.- If the sales manager or salesperson promises something, have them put it on the contract. 7.- Worst-case scenario, pay the $250 fee to return the car within 48 hours and get your money back when you signed the contract. The whole BMW experience was ruined by this dealership and its sales manager Jose Macias. We thought that investing for a car in our local BMW was the right thing to do, but instead they took advantage of the situation. In our case, Jose added a extra $2,000 warranty fee that it was clear to my wife and I that was waived and it didn't show on the final price quote. We realized we paid this extra warranty when we got home and reviewed the entire contract with time and no pressure. More

Force your own positive experience I just purchased a 2017 X6 on June 21, 2020 for “almost” what I wanted. Although it did take me two weeks and 5 visits to the dealership. They had me I just purchased a 2017 X6 on June 21, 2020 for “almost” what I wanted. Although it did take me two weeks and 5 visits to the dealership. They had me walk away on the 4th visit but quickly reached out to me that same day. Although I forced my own process, it was somewhat pleasant when it was all said and done. The disappointment was that they gave me the car with no owners manual, no gas and the exterior was not cleaned with any detail in mind. Almost as if they are telling me that if I am buying a used car, then this is what you get lady! Poor customer satisfaction in my opinion. I will Have to spend more money to get the bumper touched up with black paint because they refused to touch up the white marks left there by someone who scraped it agains a pole or something. Nonetheless, the car is beautiful and I love it, but really only because I was willing to sacrifice all the little things. It is my belief that if my husband would have done this process with me, I may have had a less reluctant attitude from their staff, which is disappointing that as a female, I am treated differently by all male sales team. 0 Stars - Unethical, Rude If a 0 star rating were possible, it'd still be too generous for this operation. The service is truly atrocious, and the employees even worse (namely If a 0 star rating were possible, it'd still be too generous for this operation. The service is truly atrocious, and the employees even worse (namely the sales manager Ryan and our sales associate Scott). After purchasing a 2019 X3 M40i in November 2019 from Scott at BMW SLO, we are now (it's June 2020!!) being told that we either need to drive 7 hours round trip back to their dealership to retrieve the key, or pay $500 to have the extra key they owe us programmed in our area. We live over 300 miles away from the dealership, a fact we made abundantly clear at the time of purchase. Outside of the insane inconvenience and unreasonable "solutions" they've offered, the employees (Ryan, Scott, and Jose) behavior was rude, dismissive, and frankly shocking. Their basic attitude was "all we owe you is a key, it doesn't have to work, your choice to get it programmed or not". The manager we escalated to (Ryan) even commented that we were lucky he called us back in a timely manner instead of making us wait like he had originally planned. Management (specifically looking at you here Vince), a few questions for you: 1) do you think your employees behaved appropriately? 2) do you think your sales associate (Scott) did the right thing by the customer when he promised us two keys (and wrote it on the term sheet), but let us drive off the lot KNOWING we could not easily return to have the key programmed? 3) assuming you care about the customer and you agree your dealership made a mistake allowing us to leave with a single key, do you really think we, the customer who has been inconvenienced and disrespected (and hung up on!) for 7 months, should be responsible for paying a local dealership the $500 programming charge? Looking forward to your answers to my questions, not a generic response please. Will be escalating and contacting every member of Cardinale Auto Group I can find, as well as BMW of North America. Other BMW customers, go somewhere else to buy or for service. You might find a deal here but the people and process will make you regret it. More

They responded quickly and was even able to match the discount and make sure I get my dream car! Working with Bobby, Jose, and Raymond was truly a no pressure, and honest experience. They were quick to respond on what they’re able to do for me without shading some potential extra charges. And not just because they’re the managers they gave me hard times or made them feel unapproachable! It really is something you don’t see often in dealerships! I’d def recommend anyone in state or out of state to inquire and even acquire cars from them! They now have a permanent customer! More

Bait and switch internet sales tactics Where to begin? I have been buying cars for over 40 years and have dealt with plenty of shady dealerships before, but this place takes the cake. I spe Where to begin? I have been buying cars for over 40 years and have dealt with plenty of shady dealerships before, but this place takes the cake. I spent a week working with their internet sales department on a car I wanted, we went back and forth numerous times, trying to work out complex details of buying a car out of state in CA and bringing it back to my home state. We finally got details worked out, agreed on a price, with the sales manager Jose Macias even sending me an official looking document detailing the price and any fees. We discussed cashier checks and amounts I would need to bring, so I went ahead and booked a flight to come close the deal the following day thinking we were all set. That evening, almost immediately after we agreed on the deal, I noticed they had upped the price of the car in their internet ads by roughly $2500. I had my bank (arranged my own financing) contact them first thing the next morning and ask for a signed purchase agreement reflecting what we had already agreed to, a request which the dealership staunchly refused. BIG RED FLAG. I called them REPEATEDLY that morning, and they repeatedly dodged my calls and would never call me back. After calling them at least a half dozen times over several hours, I was finally able to get the Sales Manager I had been dealing with, Jose Macias, to answer the call (note I purposely didn’t give my name so someone would take my call instead of directing me to leave another message). I confronted him point blank about my suspicions about the pricing bait-and-switch, to which he played dumb, but I insisted that he provide me confirmation that our deal was still intact before I’d board the plane. At that point he had no choice but to come clean. He called me back a couple of minutes later telling me that the owner “was very proud” of the new pricing, and refused to honor the deal we had already made. They knew full well that I had already booked my flight, they spent the day dodging my calls thinking I’d get on the plane anyways, so that when I get there, they could spring their last minute price hike on me. The fact this happened at a BMW dealership, a brand that prides itself on their “top-of-the-line” dealership network and straight dealing, was shocking to say the least. I’ve been buying BMWs for 20 years, I currently own 3, and I’ve never run into a dealership so completely unprofessional and unethical in their business practices. There are FAR better places to go to buy a nice BMW, ESPECIALLY if you are an out of state buyer. This place’s whole business model for internet sales is to make believe a deal is in place, get you in the door, then prey on the fact you’ve come a long ways to buy a car, and then bait and switch you. I wasted countless hours of my valuable time over the past week, ended up eating a round trip airfare for me AND my wife, and came way from the whole experience befuddled that dealerships like this exist in the BMW dealer network. So moral of the story, DON’T TRUST THESE GUYS!! They are dishonest, deceitful, and will not honor agreements made in good faith. Hopefully something will come out of all the time and money I wasted dealing with these clowns, and my fellow BMW enthusiasts and other perspective BMW owners will heed my warnings about the type of business this dealership is, and take their business someplace else. TRUE STORY - I went to leave a review on Car Gurus where I initially came upon the car, and the system would not let me add my review, saying that I had already left one! Clearly I had not, so it would appear they locked me out of being able to leave one. More

Broken promises & Unreliable Service I purchased a used BMW i3 from the internet sales department. The sales man told me everything that he thought I wanted to hear in order to convince I purchased a used BMW i3 from the internet sales department. The sales man told me everything that he thought I wanted to hear in order to convince me to make the purchase. During the process I only was concerned with 3 things, the price, the vehicle charger, and shipping. The price I had no issues with. As far as shipping the told me it would be 2-3 days for me to get the car but I didn’t receive it until 2 weeks later. As for the charger, they promised it in the deal. It only makes sense because it an electric car. However when the car came, no charger was in the car. After calling them they gave me endless excuses and even told me that I was wrong about them promising it. Now two weeks later, the manager won’t take my calls and no charger. In addition to this, very poor communication. Don’t waste your time or money. Find a dealer that values their customers and keeps promises. More

DON'T GO HERE, BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! I understand that we all have to make commission BUT THESE SOME EMPLOYEES HERE DO NOT KNOW BASIC MATH!!!!!!! Even the MANAGER!!!! It's PATHETIC!!! wen I understand that we all have to make commission BUT THESE SOME EMPLOYEES HERE DO NOT KNOW BASIC MATH!!!!!!! Even the MANAGER!!!! It's PATHETIC!!! went there with another character, meaning, played dumb with them and see how the numbers accrue. Simple questions like, how did this dealer sales price become this X amount of money? what did they say? "Oh, that's the sales tax" xxxx NO IT IS NOT! how could you add $3000 on top of the dealer sales price? right.... Commission... PYRAMID SCHEME!!!! Then they added USELESS ADD ONs like, PAINT PROTECTION, GAP INSURANCE Which you don't have to get from them. Ask your insurance if they cover GAP and you'll save A TON OF MONEY!!! THOSE ADD ONs ARE OPTIONAL! YOU DON'T NEED IT. No wonder the turnover rate is big on this one! GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP!!! AN HONEST DEALERSHIP! THIS DEALERSHIP WILL MILK YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY!!! They tried to get my trade-in almost for free + whatever thousand dollars in their pocket just to get the car that I want. Apparently the bank that I was approved for "NEEDS" my trade-in to get funded for the car that we want. I am aware that the "FUNDING BANK" needs some commission too but luckily for me, things happen for a reason! if I could go back in time and fix my mistake I would in a heart beat! this place is not worth your business! this is my second time going to a car dealership and never again will go to another one! GO IN A DEALERSHIP WITH YOUR OWN BANK APPROVED AUTO LOAN, BUY YOUR CAR WITH CASH or ORDER THE CAR YOU WANT AND PAY WITH CASH! Which I will be doing in a couple of months! Take my word and don't deal with this place! take your hard earned money somewhere else!!!! More
