Light at the end of the tunnel! Let me start by saying that Dan is the most incredible person to work with in the car buying process. If you want to work with someone who truly cares Let me start by saying that Dan is the most incredible person to work with in the car buying process. If you want to work with someone who truly cares about what your individual needs are, go see him. Secondly, Josh is an incredible manager who really worked with us when we found ourselves in a tough situation. He stayed completely calm and reasonable even if I wasn't always that way. Let's start at the beginning. I contacted Lima Auto Mall about a few vehicles we were interested in. After speaking with Dan, well, mostly ignoring his emails at first, he sent me what we thought was the perfect one for us; a 2016 Chevy Equinox. He made the car buying process so simple by letting us do most of the process over the phone since we would be coming from Marysville to make the purchase. We did not have to sign a single document before test driving which we really appreciated. So we purchased the vehicle and all was well UNTIL.... Two months after our purchase I end up stranded on the side of the highway. I'll be honest, I was disappointed in the service department at Lima Auto Mall. We were not offered a tow, a rental, or any advice on what to do. And of course, Dan was out of town when it happened. So we contacted another dealership close to us and found out the problem was not only major, transmission related work, but that we would be without a vehicle for probably close to a month. When we got our vehicle back, a week later, our check engine light came on!!! I immediately contacted Dan, explained what happened, had the vehicle tested at AutoZone, and drove straight to Lima Auto Mall. There we worked with Dan and Josh. Were we upside down on the vehicle on trade in, YES! But come on, you can't expect not to be. The moment you drive any vehicle off the lot, you are. Did we have to pay another down payment? OF COURSE! We bought a newer, nicer, much better vehicle and it got us out of the situation we were in. The truth is, you never know when something bad could happen to your vehicle. We were just thankful they were willing to give us what they did for our vehicle, broken as it was, and we got a vehicle we could afford in return. More
