The process of buying a care is always too complicated and gaming. List a final price (with tax, etc.). Going back and forth to the manager is a drag. I don't want to haggle pricing. What even happens in that office? Show the options that can be added with their exact costs, let the cilent decide which ones they want, and then sign the deal. With each step on this purchase, the original price and option prices changed the moment I started to back out. "Oh, let me give you the dealership discount on this." Or something similar. Just give that price to start with. This is what makes online car purchasing so much more appealing. Also, with inventory so limited I was happy to put a deposit down to hold the car. I wasn't so pleased with paying for the car (cash) before even seeing or driving it. Why should the dealership have my money 2,3,4 weeks in advance? More
